Ooh la laaa...

Who doesn't love scented candles?! I know I do! I wear perfume just about everyday because for me it is one of life's little pleasures to smell good and yummy. There's just something about sniffing something that smells good, don't you think? I love making my room smell nice too! 

I opened one of my Diptyque products a couple of days ago. It was this scented candle called Jasmine. Really excited to try it, together with the massage Satin Oil! They've been in the box for 4 months now. They're one of my hantaran gifts from my husband. We exchanged Diptyque products on our wedding as one of the "bath & body" hantaran tray. Well, honestly....we did not really "exchanged" them! They're all mine anyways! haha. What's mine is mine, what's yours is mine too! Ever heard of that phrase? ;p Cuz you know, all these bath and body stuff just don't work for my man. He knew when he bought them last time, they're gonna be mine anyways! So he let me chose whatever I want to put in that tray for him - They're scented candles, cupboard soap, roll-on perfume, bar soap and hand lotion. LOL. Obviously those aren't for him! hahaha. So he gave everything to me! Ahhh..such a good husband I have! Thank you for giving me "your" gifts sweetie! haha. 

This French Perfumer produce scented candles made from a high quality vegetable/paraffin wax mix, that burn cleanly and evenly with a lead-free wick made from cotton and a unique mix of natural ingredients to produce incredibly evocative scents that are reminiscent of exotic destinations. There are around 50 different fragrances available that are split into five categories: Fruity, Floral, Herbal, Spicy and Woody, all packaged in the clear glass tumblers with the trademark black and white labels. Yummy.

Anyway, so one night I decided to get in the romantic mood, hence I lit up the Jasmine scented candle..put it on my bedside table, and slathered on some of that Satin Oil...and straight went to bed! 

My goshhhhh. I've never been so happy going to bed before! I swear, the scent just gives you this one kind of serene feeling! Like you're in a really happy place! It changed my mood tremendously! I felt so relax...and comfortable and happy! It's amazing how scent can trigger and influence the mood! 

I know the lavender scent is for relaxing, but I never quite know that jasmine is also used to calm the nerves too! Now I never wanna sleep without burning my jasmine scented candle! hehe.

Mmmm. No wonder it gives me such an amazing feeling!

Some scented candles can smell differently when they are burning, but Diptyque candles are very true to the scent of the wax! So you just have to imagine your room filled with the same fragrance as you take a whiff in the glass jars when you're shopping for some candles at their boutique..

I burn it all night long, from 10 pm till 8 am! It just smells amazingggggg!!! I swear! Even after 10 minutes of burning, your room will be filled with a pure aroma that won't get up your nose or make you sneeze, but definitely won't go unnoticed either!  And surprisingly, after a few hours of putting out the candle, my room still subtly filled with the aroma! I'm in love! ^___^

I woke up with a very happy mood on my face! I even got happy dreams, 3 days in a row! I rarely have dreams in my life.. But 3 nights of dreaming happy dreams?! Wow. Now I really believe when they say, scent can really change your mood and intensify the ambiance! The nose just knows what works for you! Ooh la laaa.... I love good quality candles! You're definitely going to be on my "things I can't live without" list, cuz you gave me such happy dreams! haha

So anyway, I've been burning my Diptyque candles ever since that night... My husband knows how much I appreciate bath & body stuff...and really love anything that smells amazing. So the other day, he gave me this beautiful set from Jo Malone, another designer kind of perfumer brand, for our 4-month anniversary gift.

Jo Malone was one of the brands I tried before buying our wedding hantaran gifts last time. Actually, I wanted to buy products from Jo Malone as well, for our "bath & body" hantaran tray. But after much consideration, I think Diptyque has more body products compared to Jo Malone, which is why I chose and bought Diptyque products for both our hantaran trays. (We'll talk about the wedding hantaran later yeah. I know many of you have been asking me to blog about it!) - I refused to buy one tray of Jo Malone products, and another tray of Diptyque products because I love to "synchronize" our wedding hantaran gifts! I think it's cute. hehe. But when I found out that Diptyque has more variety of products, I decided to buy Diptyque products for each him and her tray. So bye-bye Jo Malone. Sad.

But I guess my husband just knows me well, he knew I would like to have some of Jo Malone products when we went there last time. So two weeks ago, he gave me these two bottles of Jo Malone fragrance called Blackberry & Bay, and Peony & Blush Suede perfume, and a limited edition scented candle in a beautiful classy packaging - knowing that I was so hard to decide between Jo Malone & Diptyque products, when we were shopping for our hantaran last November! haha. So thank you hubba, for this lovely gift!

I love them! They smell beautiful! I can't wait to use them! Somehow I feel like Jo Malone candles smell better than Diptyque! But I don't know, we'll see about that! Can't wait to burn it! ;)

Now I have Jo Malone to put into my scented candle collection! Yeay!

Honestly, when you find a fragrance that you fall in love with, it's hard not to become obsessed with burning it every day! Considering the wide choice of scents that are available in the market, I think there will be something for everyone at the store! But then your only problem would be maintaining what can turn into a very expensive habit! - Once you are used to your room smelling divine, it's hard to turn back! Oh noo!

That Perfect Crisp White Bedding

Since I have been busy adjusting myself to working, traveling and blogging at the same time, I did not have time to find an article or post that is worth blogging that would interest you guys! Sorry if I'm lacking of stories in here! =/

Anyways, I've been in and out of KL lately.. to JB, Singapore, KL, JB, KL, JB, Singapore, JB, KL! Phewww! haha. And so when I arrived my room yesterday I realized how much I miss it! The first thing I did was jumping up and down my little white queen bed, and curl myself on it for a good one hour before I got up and changed into my kaftan and washed up.. haha. I can be such a kid sometimes! (or maybe I should say, all the time? LOL ;p) Anyways... so today I thought I would talk about making the bed! And how it can change your mood and your day! ^__^

I really think having an organized room and a clean bed, can really make your day after a hard day at work or something.. I don't know about you, but the first thing I would do when I come home, is to go to my room and put my stuff away..and just chill on the bed! Not the sofa in my living room, nor the chair in the dining hall, or the comfy couch in the family area..or whatever. Nope! I would prefer my room, my bed to relax! My room is my baby. I love my room very much, although I do not have the best room in the world..but this is my little space where I relax..and where I can be 110% myself, - because no one else is in this territory of mine! hehe. I feel so calm and relax when I'm in my room. 

And when going back home from work or traveling, and seeing a clean white bed when I enter my room, can reaaaalllly change my mood! I would smile the minute I see my bed! So yes, making the bed in the morning, can change your day at the end of the day, making you a happier person! hehe. 

Even though I know sometimes there is a major debate between yourself about whether or not you should make the bed, right? - You'd think that you are just going to get back into it in a few hours...right? So why put so much effort to make the bed that you would mess it up again..right? haha. (I used to have this kind of mind set too! Heee. Lazy me! ;p) But my mom taught me that if we used that argument for other areas of our home, we would never have clean the dishes, or do the laundry. Because why wash something when it's just going to get used again? haha. Mom was right..so I always make my bed these days (except when I'm super late!), to please myself when I get back from work later on! Trust me, making the bed changes the look of a room! It makes a room more inviting and uncluttered looking and CLEAN! ^___^

Anyways, my kind of "best-dressed" beds, are usually the ones that only have one or two tone colors on it, all folded quilts and crisp edges! And for now...I love white bedding! Why? Because you can match it with any colors, and you can bleach it if you want, and you can play with other accessories and it would still look good, and best of all, it just feels better lying in bed under a white duvet! - Think hotel rooms! hehe

Plus, an all-white bed lets you mix in affordable linens or cushions or throws/runners too! You can get some pretty awesome stuff from I Wanna Go Home, or Aussino, or IKEA, or anywhere else! And you can mix white with such pretty colors like... Lime Green or Sunshine Yellow, or Mint Green, or anything, making your bed appear so much cooler!!

Mmmm... Crisp, light, cooler and refreshing white bedding. You will not be disappointed.

Mom bought me this 100% Egyptian cotton comforter set the other day.. It's a 500 thread count sheets. So comfortable, I gotta say! And she bought it together with some pearl cushion covers as well, which I loveee to bits! It's so nicee! Thank you, mother! ^__^

Since the usual bedding set only provides two pillow cases, I mixed this bedding set with my sister's wedding bed set pillow cases, which mom got from Hallmark last time.. since I have 6 pillows altogether on my bed! (not including the cushion, though! haha) - the other two pillow cases would be from Akemi. So I have 3 different brands and designs of pillow cases on my bed altogether now! 

I don't know why I have so many pillows. But I need all 6 of them. One for the head, one for the thighs. Two for the headboard. and another two for my left and right side of the bed. haha. And oh, the cushion would be to cover the face! ;p

Anyways, I think I first started making my bed when I was 12, to display all my pink beanie babies all lined up neatly in a row.. And 12 years later, I am still making the bed, except that I'm displaying my pearl cushions! haha.  Even if I have a lazy day, I still need to make the bed before I go to sleep. Or sometimes, I clean my room too!

Mirror mirror on the wall...

Lately I've taken quite a lot of my outfit of the day pics  and upload them on Instagram, before I go to the office. Doing this every morning is kinda like lifting up my mood, and makes me motivated to wake up early and be in the office..hehe  ;p

I love dressing up..  And I've always wanted to do an outfit post like the one I did last time for Zawara. (You can view here, here or here).  But I don't have a paparazzi to take my photo each morning, do I? haha. So...since I got that full length mirror for my room last month, I decided to take an outfit post by myself, every day before leaving the house. - I didn't get to do it last time (my old mirror suck big time! haha). So now that I have this mirror, and I post my outfits on Instagram each day, I would know what and which attire I have worn and which I haven't - I've lost track of my outfits already..and then I always ended up wearing the same, current favourite pieces over and over again (Read: Mint Green. haha),  despite having an overflowing clothes.  =_____='

I remember last time..my friends and my colleagues used to say they have never seen me wearing the same outfit in a month's time.. But these days, I always get this, "You always wear the same outfit. Tak ada baju lain ke? Asik-asik samaaaa je? You're so boring!"

Hahaha. That's bcuz I abandoned the old ones... And only wear current favourite! haha. And now I think, it's time for me to rummage my closet again..and start wearing my old stuff (if they still fit me), and not be boring like you said! hahahaa ;p

What I Wore

Last weekend I purchased a full length mirror for my room.. Though I already have a mirror here, but that mirror just won't do any justice to take a gooooooood look at myself (fully). heh.

So anyway, it was a great deal purchasing this mirror.. It's only RM 150 from RM 300+! It's a white frame stand mirror.. which I placed it at my open wardrobe area, next to my mannequin brooch.. It is not that big, which is great because I have a very small space here! tskk..But I'm still loving it! hehe

Now.... I love getting dress every morning.. waking up to see yourself in a room full with clothes, is such a nice feeling..hehe. Choosing shoes, tops, pants, scarf, bags, etc etc..and mix and match them in front of this mirror is fun for me! I feel like I'm in a dressing room of a boutique or something! haha. ;p

Last time, I didn't really get to do this or rather..I didn't really have mood for it, as much as now, because my mirror wasn't placed in a dressing area.. Plus, that mirror wasn't a full-length one. And it was placed at the nonstrategic area. Which is in front of the door and next to the bathroom....and far from my closet  =___=' 

So it's a bit leceh for me to walk back and forth from my wardrobe to mirror, just to see if things look okay on me.. (Note: I'd try more than 3 outfits every time I play dress up in my room / or choosing outfits to go out. Ha ha.)

So yes...I'm one happy girl now. I love this mirror that stays in my open closet! It's easier to play dress up this way! And it's perfect! hehe :)


Anyways...since I just got this full length mirror in my room, I like to take a shot of What I Wear Today, before going to work..hehe

Tidying up My Room!

Hey girls! How's your weekend so far?? Mine..was full of rearranging and organizing stuff in my room! My room was a mess...thanks to the many stuff that I have in here! tskk.. I have so many stuff but too little space. So, tidying up could be tricky! Heeee. 

But seriously, it's a lot of thingsss in my room now, which is not fun and funny anymore. Even dad and mom keep on nagging me about my things that were cluttered all over the room and it's a real mess! haha. - But I still think, my room is the most organized room in this house (except the guest room as that couldn't be counted bcuz no one stay there! LOL), despite having a lot of stuff in here! haha, perasan.... But really! hahaha ;p -Try open up my drawers, my racks, etc, everything are in place, or color-coded, size-coded, type-coded, etc! Trust me, I have my system of organizing things! I don't just kemas luaran, as in, only tidying up the general area in the room, that makes you think "Oh, this room is sooo clean and tidy!", when you first step into the room. But then, when you open up the closet or the drawer, everything is jumbled up in there! haha. 

When I clean, I clean all the details in the room! Even the littlest drawer that I have, I gotta make sure that the things in the drawer are all organized according to the stuff that I put in there. Say for example, socks..or panties...or stationaries drawer, or...belts, or my vitamins drawer, etc etc! 

I love organizing things, and like to keep it tidy.. but sometimes I just don't have time to do it..or simply lazy/tired. Haha. So when I have the chance to do so... I'll spend hours and hours doing it passionately! LOL. I really like rearranging and tidying things up..but only when I have all the energy and time to do so! hehe.. 

Like this weekend, I have spent hours cleaning my bag closet, my shoe area and a lil' bit of my beauty stuff...

Anyway, here's some pics I took and uploaded on Instagram (gotta love the app! ^__^) 

My study table that I turn into an open closet!

Here is where I put most of my colored tops on the lower rack; Yellow, Red, Orange, Peach, Pink, Purple. And all my bottoms i.e skirts, slacks, jeans, casual pants, khakis, etc on the upper rack..

The rest of the colors like Blue, Green, Brown, Grey, White, Creme, Black, etc are all in the wardrobe..

In the drawer, I put all of my fragrances. Upper drawer is for EDPs and lower part are all EDTs. 

I have about 200 bottles all together. 70% of these are all gifts that I get. -People must have love me so much to shower me with this! haha (but thank you, really!)

And here is my shoe area..

I organized according to color; Blue, Turquoise, Dark Blue, Black, Grey, Purple, Pink, Red, Brown, Creme, etc!

Oh..and at the upper rack, since it's kinda hard to reach (because I'm short T__T), I put all my booties that I'll use for my winter holiday..

Mmm... I gotta say, I love all my heels! There's just something about shoes that can make me really happy! hehe. Give me this two things; perfume and shoes, you'll make me the happiest girl on earth! LOL ;p

.....and I changed my bed sheet to a fresh, new one! hehe. Gotta love my comfy bed!

My Kind of Kamar.

I just watched The Notebook again. And in that movie, Noah built his beautiful house with his own hands...and it got me thinking, hmm....wouldn't it be nice if I get to create my own house too? hehe.. So anyway, I was playing around with my iPad just now.. And I doodled and drew some stuff... One of it was my dream bedroom. Haha..this girl sure does love to berangan a lot, ey?! haha (but the drawing is half done, actually! It's not fully siap yet! ;p)

Mmm.. I would to have my own space in my room. Like, a space for me to do my work.. a space for me to read, a space for me to relax,  a space for me to get dressed and ready.. a space for me to put all of my stuff and organize them properly.. a space for me to do my make up and a space for me to enjoy my 2 hour bath with candles and whatnot! hehe.. Oh, it's soooo awesome! ^___^

Hmm.... For me, a bedroom is the most important area in a house, as I'm the kind of a girl that likes to sit and spend my time in the room, enjoying every minute of my life in my bedroom..haha - I don't really spend much time in front of the telly/in the living room.. So yeah, a bedroom is my space! ;)

So anyway..here's what I drew just now... Imagining all my pretty stuff are in here, in my imaginary bedroom! haha.

I'd love to have a blue room. With a pretty white bedsheets.. And have a lot of vintage frames/pictures in the room. And also a hugeeeeeeeee vanity area and closet! hehe..

Oh, and with lots and lotsa mirror too! hehe.. That'd be awesome! ;)

Anyway..this is not an architect nor I.D student who drew this. So don't laugh at my cacat drawing, kay? ;p I just thought of sharing my dream room here.. Heee

(Showed mom this drawing, she laughed out real loud at me! =_______=' Sobs.  - She has some interior design background. And was working with engineering line too, last time. So she laughed at my stupid drawing. hahaha. Whateverrrrr mummyyyy I was just drawing according to the plan that you showed me! hahaha ;p)

Anyways...wouldn't it be nice, to enter your room and see all of your gorgeous high heels are all on the racks, neatly organized according to type, and colors, as one of the feature wall/deco for the room? Mmmm... And wouldn't it be nice to have a large closet where you can walk inside it, and see every piece of your pretty clothes, all hanging beautifully and ready for you to take them out for the day? hehe.. And have an island cabinet that holds all of your accessories and perfumes?! Oh my...I'm imagining a lot of things right now... How niceeeee....

Anyways..here's what I imagine the inside of my walk-in-wardrobe would look like.. Lotsa racks, and stacks and compartments for the little things I have..

And this is the kind of blue that I like. A tiffany blue! So soothing, so calm! :)

I don't like that bedhead though..

And this is not exactly the bathroom that I like, but I like the bath tub and the space it has in here! It's hugeeeee! I likeeee. hehe

Of Bertukang, Berjahit and..a little Menyusun kind of Activities! hehe

I had a bit of hectic week, last week and especially this week, as I'm trying to get everything done as soon as possible. (Sorry if some you did't get my reply yet. I will email you some time later today! - I'm on a little 'break' during the weekends! hehe... So will reply later kay, inshaallah!)

So anyway...here is what I did last week!

And lastly, I did a little menyusun work! hehe. For now, I'm only done with two parts.. My jewelry armoire, and my beauty space! ^_^

Remember last few months, I did a post on my beauty area....? Well, now that I have these little white compartments.. my beauty counter now looks a bit different! (Still messy, though! haha - Cuz I got a lot of stuff! I don't know how to make it look more neat/organized than that! haha!) Anyways... now that I have these white compartments,, it'd be easier for me to categorize my items and know which is which...and what, where, etc! hehe

What's in Your Room?

Hey girls!

Real sorrrrryyyy for the sporadic updates! I really tried to update as often as I could, but I was just too caught up with things lately and especially last week! tskk. And yes, I do remember to let y'all know who is the winner for my Blogniversary contest..but it'll be in my next post ya! So stay tune! hehe ;)

So anyways, a lot of you have been asking me to do like a "Room Tour" of my bedroom.  You girls are really interested in seeing things in my room, eh? haha. It's messy, I tell you! I have a lot of things that sometimes I too, get irritated by it although I love them so much! haha.. ;p

So today, in this post, I'm just gonna show you quite a bit of my stuff in my room.. These are like 40% of my stuff in my room.. You've already seen my scarf rack and my shoe home... Now let see the rest of things in my room! ;)

Let's start with my bedside table....

These are the things that filled my left bedside table. I just put them there since I don't have any other frames and pictures. Frankly, I don't really like all these frames. Because of the color, actually. They don't match my room. And I think it looks kinda messy with all that color combo - red, white, black and silver. Pfft. I like white frames by the way. And I like black & white photos too. hehe.. 

Hmm...maybe I'm gonna start buying them when I get my new room ;)

(Don't get me wrong, I love all the frames that you gave me, it's just they don't match my room! hehehehe ;p)

Next... below the table, there's a magazine and a little book rack...

So I put all my fave readings in there...and read before bedtime, if I'm not too lazy nor sleepy! 

I also have this too, near my bed area.. My little sleeping masks! hehe. I love to sleep with these on... Probably because I kinda have this sleeping problem, so I need something to help me close my eyes so that maybe I'll sleep sooner than I thought. (Oh well..actually, sometimes I still can't sleep with that thing on! Sigh. I hate that I have this problem. Lucky that I'm sleeping alone, otherwise I'll go and kacau anyone beside me..and make the person can't sleep as well! haha) 

New Interest? hehe

Lately I find myself flipping some I.D magazines and googling some interior designs of a room, a living room, a closet, etc etc. No more fashion magazines! How weird! haha..

Hmm.. I'm beginning to have an interest in interior designs...perhaps? heh. (mom even asked me to go for a short course for interior design something.. Because she said I have a good eye and I should enhance the knowledge/idea that I have! hehe ;p)

It's really interesting looking at all the pretty and modern designs of a house, an office, a room, a bathroom, and et cetera! But the thing that interest me the most are the designs of a bedroom, bathroom and a closet especially - because that's the place I would be spending my time the most! ;)

Plus, I do believe that the place that you sleep in - the bed and the bedroom, have to be as comfortable and cozy as possible. Because it's really important to be as happy and peaceful as you can in your own room, Cuz that's the place you rest and sleep! And ultimately, you'll get a good night sleep and wake up in a very good mood! Unless of course, something else is bothering you...then a good bed also can't be that reliable to change your mood. LOL ;p


But anyway...throughout my "research" of the bedroom and bathroom designs... Bathtub designs has really caught my eye!
