My New Year's Eve

So I didn't go anywhere on new year's eve.

Oh well.. I'm not the type that have to celebrate these kinda things. It'd be fun if I do, but it'll be okay if I don't as well. I prefer not to, actually. As there'll be a lot of people, and I hate crowds, also, the parking is going to be a pain in the arse, and traffic jam everywhere...and food or parking or whatever would be slightly expensive during this date. Unless if you want to take me out and drive me somewhere, then..it would be an okay thing for me..hehe..

Cuz... why bother with all that when you can just chill at home, and wait until tomorrow or the next day to go out! haha

Well..I just don't celebrate. I don't see any point, to celebrate it unless if it's with my closest friends or something you know, doing something fun and memorable. Plus, I thought we have fireworks each time we have a festival here in Malaysia or anywhere in the world lahh.. So...what's so special/amazing about that? LOL. I mean...it's something that is quite common now.. Some people even propose to the girlfriend with fireworks too! So...yeah. Fireworks are not something that is special anymore... To me, at least. heheh. So why bother bersesak-sesak just to see some fireworks? heh. Well..I guess it's the countdown yang the best part kot. Ahh...I dunno. Whatever.

Anyway, on my new year's eve, all I did was watching movie all day and night and online too! Same old, same old activity! hehe..

Anyway... I watched this!

Cried a bit. The father-daughter part, and the part where Halle Berry and his partner videochatted on new year's eve, and the part when Bon Jovi wants to get back with Katherine Heighl again..

So sweet. =)

The Vow

Have you seen the trailer yet??! Oh my God. I cannot believe how can they make us wait until February 2012! That's 4 months from now! Oh..and maybe I should add another one or two months for the movie to hit Malaysia pulakk! Goshh...how can they do this?? >_<

Why oh whyyy so late?? Half a year of waiting is too long man! I SO cannot wait for it! I mean just look at the main characters.. Those two are the ones that I really love; Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum, which from the two favourite romantic movie of mine; The Notebook and Dear John! And both movies are from Nicholas Sparks-based story! So this movie is definitely going to be my new favourite romantic movie! I just knew it!!!

Awwww...

So of course I cannot wait! They both are just sooooo great. Not only Rachel McAdams has a beautiful face, hair, body and everythinggg.. and Channing Tatum is very handsome too, But they both are also very very talented and they have proved that they can do a great performance in a romantic movie! So yes, I'm rather very confident that The Vow will be worth watching guys! I just knew I would cry my eyes out for this movie! Heee ;p

(When I first saw this trailer last month, I watched it for like more than 20 times, back to back! hahaha. I was so excited + cannot wait! LOL ;p And I think, The Vow will be a Wow movie!)

Anyway, a little heads up for this movie.. This film is actually based on a true story about a young woman who loses all recent memory in a car accident and struggles to rebuild her identity while her husband tries to win her heart for the second time. - It's based on the book of the same title, which is the story of Kim and Krickitt Carpenter

Hopeless Romantic Girl.

The Secret Life of Nora!

........is AWESOME!!!

I've seen the ads everywheree... posters and vids on cinema, etc, but haven't had the chance to see it yet, until last Saturday... tu pun sebab ada orang sponsored. heh ;p - Well..cuz I wasn't sure if it's going to be a nice movie or not...and I didn't want to burn my bucks just like that if it isn't so good... But mannnn...it was AWESOME! I didn't know Tiara got such a lovely voice! N such a talented woman!!! And not to mention, super hot too! hehe. I am sooooo going to watch it again for the second time...and this time, I'm so going to pay for it! hahaha ;p

To be honest, that was my first time watching a theatre. (the one I watched with my friends in my 3rd year in uni didn't count, as I did not get to watch fully (I sat on the floor - so can't really see) and plus, I wasn't focused 100% ). So yeah, now I know how awesome Tiara Jacquelina is... She's so gedix and cute... and yeah, now I know how awesome a theatre movie really is too!  haha. I am so lame! =_=' (Even the famous PGL pun I tak tengok pun lagiii! ---_____---) 

Anyways.. Here are some of the shots while I was in Istana Budaya watching the musical theatre The Secret Life of Nora..

Don't Sweat It with Rexona!

A week ago, I was invited to attend an event by Rexona; "An Experiential Discovery of Sweat and Body Odour" and also had the privilege to watch an exclusive premier screening of Dream House movie, held in GSC One Utama! :)

So anyway, the purpose of that event was to actually enlighten everyone and raise awareness about the five causes of sweat and break myths about body odour! Because believe it or not, your body can generate a considerable amount of sweat even when you're just watching a movie or working/sitting in an air-conditioned office!

The event was kinda fun as we get to play around on their little playground.. and best of all, before the night ends, we get to watch a movie as well! (we were the first to watch that movie! ^_^)

And did you know....

• Six out of ten Malaysians do not use deodorant! - Euwww ;p
• 65% of Malaysians often joke about their friends’ body odour but the brutal truth is that they are actually serious about it. - Oh, poor that person.. =/
• The five causes of sweat (light movement, heat, stress, humidity and emotions) are inevitable in people’s daily routines and have a silent effect without them realising it!

So that night, Rexona has geared to offer the bloggers and guests to an experiential platform to uncover the five causes of sweat. There were five stations altogether, for the activities which were customised to signify the light movement, heat, stress, humidity and emotions...that could cause your body to sweat!



Number 1: Light Movement

There was a Kinect game station. I saw people were doing simple kicks, strikes and punches.. hehe. I didn't play though..



Number 2: Heat!

Next to it was a simulated setting of the beach with sun and coconut tree and hats and balls, etc. I saw people were taking polaroid shots at that beach! I want one actually, but I didn't join and pose for it! (Too shy, so many people!) haha ;p






Number 3: Stress

Number 4: Humidity

Of course, weather also plays a big role in sweating! And with our hot and humid weather in Malaysia, there is NO WAY that you will not sweat! But don't worry, "Use Rexona everyday! Nothing keeps you drier!", as they said! hehe



So while everyone was busy playing around on those little playground, me, Aizat and Azhar went to the food side to have some dinner! I was so starving..I just need my fooood! ;p

And then after he had our dinner, we were ready for the last part of the event!




The Number 5: Emotions

Do you know that emotion is one of the triggers of sweat? Some people sweat when they get nervous or surprised or worried or in a suspense mode or something.. so with that, Rexona presented us with the screening preview of Dream House movie! Yeayyyy! :)

Hmm..by the look of this poster, it seems like it is a horror movie.. But well, not really actually! Just a bit suspense..which I like! hehe.. And it's a bit complicated too, but I really enjoyed the movie! (Although I had to annoy and ask Aizat and Azhar while watching it...cuz I was really confused! Haha. Oh mann....I'm always confused! Sorry guys! heee ;p)

Oh..and Rachel Weisz is soooooooo preeeetehhhh! Love her face! ^_^

The Notebook of Love!

Whenever I'm having my PMS, that's pre-period mood swings, I would be really sensitive, and for some weird reasons, I'd become so mushy and would hear all the love songs in the world and watch all fave movies until my eyes become red and bengkak alreadyyyy...and looking like a golf ball! Pffft. I am one drama queen ladyyyy! heheheh ;p


I am so weird, aren't I?! hehehe.. Am I the only one like thisss? Does any of you girls having this kinda thing too whenever you gonna hit your period?? Or is it just me?? =/

Last night I spent my time watching all my fave movies and suddenly all things seemed so touchy and so sensitive and so saddddddd! T_T (And so weird? ;p)


Those movies that were supposed to be funny pun boleh nak rasa sensitive. What the?? 


Hmm...


But this movie below, would always be so touching for me..... Never fail to make me cry.. Seriously, I can really feel the LOVE...... hehehehe

Just by watching this "trailer" pun boleh nak nangis.. Apakah?? LOL. It's really funny when I'm PMSing! Seriously... haha.. Haihhh..cepat lah period! Penat la nak sensitive 2-3 hari ni! hehehe ;p

If you still haven't watch The Notebook, go watch already! This movie won so many awards.. It's awesome.. and I love it so much. This is the kind of love that I call BEAUTIFUL.... =)))))

Ok, I know I probably just made you guys puke on your breakfasts... hehehe.. Enough already being mushy and all...hehe. So okay okayyy... I go nowww..

Of an Old Movie, and A Pair Of Big Bold Eyes

Hey there!

Ever heard of the film called Sangam? hehe. Yes, thattt old hindi movie.. which was in 1960's. Oh well.. when I was a little girl.. About 5 or 6 years old.. My dad always play the movie on our video tape recorder.. (Note: He likes Hindustani movies/songs. hehe). And I used to watch this movie almost everyday! LOL! Oh, and not to forget.. I used to sing by heart, all of their songs in that movie and memorized some of the scripts/lines too, without knowing what it actually meant! hahaha. ;p

But then, as I aged.. I forgot already all of these songs..and I can say, I forgot about the movie too! But the other day, when my brother tagged me, one of the songs in Sangam called Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega on Facebook.. Suddenly.. I remember everythinggg! I remember my childhood memories when this song was being played... I dunno why.. But I get a lil' mushy and sad..when it was being played.. yeah I know it's odd, but that was exactly what happened and what I felt like...

I grew up with this song being played quite the whole time. So when it is being played, suddenly.. I remember everything.. My childhood memories.. The things I do when I was a kid.. and stuff like that.. And suddenly, I feel so old! I grew up so fast!!

Anyways.. after seeing the video and hearing the song.. I decided to find the movie and watch it again..

I really really forgot how Radha (the girl in the movie), looked so damn beautiful!!! Honestly, I couldn't take my eyes off her throughout the movie! She's just too pretty! Her eyes are SO BIG! Her hair is really thick and dark (I have a thing with dark haired women, fyi! hehe), she has a white porcelain skin, her eyebrows are full, dark and amazing, and did I mention her eyes are bigggggg??! Yes, they really are, SO BIGGG! I'm so jealous! hehe.. And they don't have those 'dolly-eyed' contact lenses in those days! It was all natural! Ahhh...so pweetyyy la this Radha girl... or whatever her name was..

WATCH TOY STORY 3 AT TGV & STAND TO WIN A LIFE-SIZED LOTS-O-HUGGIN’ BEAR WORTH RM800!

 Have you watch the new movie from Disney’s Pixar, Toy Story 3? I have! Just yesterday! There are a lot of new characters! Such as Lots-O'-Huggin' Bear, Ken, The Baby, Bonnie and so on! Oh..and Andy has grown up, you know! He’s 17 and handsome and he is going to college already! I used to watch the VCDs all day long, after school! I just loved that movie! Watching Andy going to college now, reminds me of myself.. I mean, I watched Toy Story 1 and 2 while I was so little.. (that was when I was still in my primary school!)..and now, I have graduated and Andy’s has grown up too! He’s going to college! And that made me realized, oh..I’ve grown up too! Sigh..how time flies! =(

Anyways.. The movie really really reminds me of myself cuz when I was little, I too just like Andy, have lotsa toys (Barbie especially!)..and when I grow up..all those toys were given to other people, to small kids, to orphanage and etc.. That’s what Toy Story 3 is all about! – It focuses on these toys dealing with a situation in which their cherished owner, Andy is preparing to depart for college. So as Andy prepares to depart for his college, Buzz, Woody and the rest of his loyal toys are troubled about their uncertain future. The toys were kinda disappointed that Andy doesn’t want to play with them anymore. So they sneak into a box to be donated to Sunnyside Daycare and over there, they met some other toys and receive a warm welcome from the toys at Sunnyside, led by Lotso the cuddly, plush, warm and fuzzy called "Lots-O'-Huggin' Bear"… I won’t continue on the stories..you have to watch it for yourself ok!

But my most fave part is the toys accidentally reset Buzz to his Spanish mode! It was so funny hearing Buzz speaking in Spanish! =)
(I always find it Spanish language is somewhat sexy! Hehe)

I'm Feeling Mushy Tonight...

This would be my most fave scene/part/lines in The Notebook (my most favorite movie of all time). I watched this movie for more than a hundred of times. And I can almost hafal most of the lines in the movie already! LOL.

My most favourite part..is this, when they were fighting:

Noah: We're back to that? Are we back there? What about the past couple of days? They happened you know?

Allie: I know that they happened and they were wonderful but they were also very irresponsible.

*pangpungpang* (the sound of Noah's kicking the chair)

Allie: I have a fiance waiting for me at a hotel, who's gonna be crushed when he finds out what I did!

Noah: So you make love to me, and then you go back to your husband?! Was that your plan?! Was that a test that I didn't pass?!

Allie: No I made a promise to a man, he gave me a ring and I gave him my word!

Noah: And your word is shut to hell now, don't you think?!

Allie: I don't- I don't know! I'll find out when I talk to him.

Noah: This is not about keeping your promise. and it's not about following your heart. It's about security.

Allie: What is that suppose to mean?!

Noah: MONEY!

Ahhhh... I love the movie so much! Somehow I can relate it to my stories and my life. Tsk. Oh..speaking of love, this is another comel movie that I like! This part is the most sweetest line a guy could ever said to a girl! Verry honest, sweet and straight to the point! And I like the way Mandy Moore talked in the movie too. Kinda reminds me of myself! You know..menggelabah and panic and talk so fast that does not make any sense (to some!). hahah =P

A little confession..

I know, I know I said in my previous post that the movie wasn't that great..



But.. in some way, I kinda like the movie actually.. haha.. (That is after watching it for the second time. hehee)

Well.. the first time I watched the movie, I kinda expect and hope that the film will be such a pleasure thing to watch and that the movie will be exactly like the book. So that's why I was quite dissappointed when they changed the storyline a lil' bit here and there..



But then when I went to watch it for the second time, I did not expect for anything. Just came to watch the movie (and the guy! hehe).

And surprisingly, the movie somehow turned up to be very entertaining and fun! Oh, maybe I was in a good mood kot. huhu. And I love Isla's clothes and shoes, especially!! There was this one scene where she wears a polka dot top with a fabulous crinkled blue corset with a belt! Oh I lovee that corset verry much!! Where can I get it,eh?? heh..

And I love Luke Brandon character and persona too! Kinda reminds me of Radzique in some way. hehe.

Confessions of a Shopaholic

I have read this Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella when the book first came out. I really enjoyed reading all the series. I read them many many times.

So when I heard about this Confessions of a Shopaholic is going to be a movie, I got really really excited and can't wait to watch it!

And.. Today, I've watched the movie.

Well..

Umm.. the movie was.....okay..

But, I would have liked the movie if I hadn’t read the fantastic series. The movie does not do the book any justice!! =(

Well... I already know that the movie isn't a scene-by-scene recreation of the book. Of course, films are very different from books. But..there were just so many scenes that were not even exist in the book!! =(

(I got a lil' bit upset for a moment..huhu)

Like, in the book, there are no talking mannequins beckoning and convincing Becky to shop, and Luke isn’t her boss, and her fantastic article isn’t about shoes and investment accounts!

Soo different lar.

Haihh.

I would have loved to see Sophie's own creation put up onto the screen word-for-word with not one syllable changed..but what to do.. the director of this movie- P.J Hogan somehow had to change some of the plotlines (which turned out to be so infuriating!). I really really hope the second one- Shopaholic Takes Manhattan would be so much more brilliant than this!

The only moment that I can remember that is exactly extracted from the novel was the very first scene in the book - where Becky sits at her desk and opens her credit card bills. - I got really excited! All those stories that I read and imagined..at last coming to life!! =)

Anyhow.. the movie's alright. I wouldn't recommend it to the fans of the book, though.

Oh btw, it's true what this writer said: Becky Bloomwood is the dumbed down version of Elle Woods in Legally Blonde.. Isla Fisher has downgraded Becky Bloomwood into a stereotypical, silly female wrapped in pink.

Hmmm... =(

For those of you who does not have any idea about this book that I'm talking about, you can read the synopsis:

“Becky Bloomwood has what most twenty-five-year-olds only dream of: a flat in London’s trendiest neighborhood, a troupe of glamorous socialite friends, and a closet brimming with the season’s must haves. The only trouble is, she can’t actually afford it - not any of it. Her job writing at Successful Savings magazine not only bores her to tears, it doesn’t pay much at all. Still, how can she resist that perfect pair of shoes? Or the divine silk blouse in the window of that ultra-trendy boutique? But lately Becky’s been chased by dismal letters from Visa and the Endwich Bank - letters with large red sums she can’t bear to read - and they’re getting ever harder to ignore. She tries cutting backs; she even tries making more money. But none of her efforts succeeds. Her only consolation is to buy herself something…just a little something…"

Oh, I'm soo glad I read the series cuz the stories are so much more better! (But I still love the movie.. if not bcuz of the cutest Isla Fisher!) hehe =)

P/s: That green Danny & George scarf wasn't anything like what I imagined it would be. Not that nice pun..huhu =P

P/ss: And that Hugh Dancy is sooooo handsome and cute lar!! He does suit to be Luke Brandon! I'm soo happy.. hehe
