The Power of Three!

I am currently on a new acne product that I use at night, which is recommended by my doctor. (I still use my old skincare regime...but I add this product for my night time routine). I have been using this product for about one month now..and Alhamdulillah, my pimple has subside a bit and my skin look better than before! Not too oily like last time! (Pimple comes on a face that is oily and shiny! So avoid using any oily products on your skin..or that can cause your skin to look oily and shiny! Trust me, I know it now! hehe..My oily products are causing me to have break outs! >__<)

So anyway, have you heard of the Papulex skincare range?? To those who have never really been to the skin specialist or dermatologist, may probably have not heard of this product as they are only available at selected clinics/doctors. So today let me introduce this brand to you girls!

Papulex is a new range of an acne care products from France, clinically demonstrated to be effective for all forms of acne! The Papulex line of products cleanses, protects and keeps acne-prone skin in good condition. They only have 3 products right now, which is the cleanser, and two types of moisturizer - an oil-free cream or the hydrating cream. But really, you only need these cleanser and the moisturizer to keep acne-prone skin looking good! I personally love their hydrating cream! My skin stays matte all day!!!

So what makes Papulex differ from any other acne care products? Well first off, before I answer that question, you must first understand  the main causes of acne. Like I mentioned previously in one of my entries, there are a number of things that can lead to the formation of acne. It can be stress, lack of sleep, hormonal imbalance or simply improper hygiene. Acne can come in a different forms like; blackheads, whiteheads, papules, pustules, nodules and cysts. Yeeek! However, when it comes down to the root of it all, there are FOUR main factors that can cause acne. They are:

A) Bacterial colonization
B) Inflammation of the affected area
C) Excess sebum
D) Thickening of the skin that blocks your pores

Originated in France, Papulex is a range specially formulated products for acne-prone akin. With its triple action formulation, Papulex has a unique triple-action formula that can address the three root causes of acne; (i) Bacterial colonization, (ii) Inflammation of the affected area, (iii) Excess sebum.

Powered by its unique triple action formulation, Papulex gains back patients' confidence and assures physicians of treatment results with its efficacy and superior tolerability. These products from Papulex are gentle on the skin and can be used both day and night. It is as the best combination therapy with Rx products during treatment phase and mono therapy for long term maintenance.

So the power of 3 Active Ingredients in Papulex that are clinically demonstrated to address the 3 root causes of acne are:

1. EU-Patented ABA Technology: Unique to Papulex, EU-patented ABA technology helps block the proliferation of (P. acnes) bacteria in the outer layer of the skin.

2. NicotinamideHelps reduce inflammation: Papulex contains 4% Nicotinamide, a natural molecule derived from Vitamin B3 that has potent anti-inflammatory properties. And studies have shown that Nicotinamide is as effective as clindamycin gel in reducing acne severity and lesion counts without inducing bacterial resistance.

3. Zinc PCAHelps reduce sebum production: Papulex contains Zinc PCA that helps regulate sebum production, which causes oily skin and acne. A clinical study demonstrated that 1% Zinc PCA leads to a significant decrease of the sebum rate 28 days after its twice daily application, while no significant variations were observed in the placebo group.

Papulex is safe and effective for all forms of mild to moderate acne. 85% of physicians and 79% of patients find Papulex effective! I have tried it myself for about a month now..and I really think it does make a difference  on my skin! Really. I have been searching high and low for a product that really works for my acne because I do not want to take medication for my moderate acne..because I know pills would have some side effects in the long run.. So, this cream is like my saviour! hehe. Based on my own experience,  I only apply the hydrating cream during night time after using their cleanser and I use my normal skincare regime like usual, and make sure I would get enough sleep every day! And bit by bit...I can see that my pimple is not as active as last 2-3 weeks ago!!! Alhamdulillah... :)

So there are three products in the Papulex range currently, and they are:

1. Papulex Moussant Soap Free Cleansing Gel - Helps reduce imperfections while cleansing the skin gently with its soap-free formula. EU-patented ABA and Nicitinamide help reduce the appearance of blemishes while keeping skin feeling smooth and fresh. It is gentle and ideal for daily acne care. To promote acne-free skin, Papulex Moussant Soap Free Cleansing Gel is recommended for use twice a day before applying other acne care products.

2. Papulex Oil-Free Cream - Helps to reduce skin blemishes and skin imperfections. It contains mattifying agents and the unique triple-action formula (EU-patented ABA, Nicotinamide, and Zinc PCA). It is as the best combination therapy with Rx products during treatment phase and mono therapy for long term maintenance. It is fragrance-free, non-photosensitizing and non-comedogenic and can be used both day and night.

3. Papulex Isocorrexion Hydrating Cream - Helps clear blemishes and improves skin tightness and dryness caused by conventional acne. It is enriched with Biophytosebum (olive oil extract + squalene) and contains the unique triple-action formula (EU-patented ABA, Nicotinamide and Zinc PCA). It is recommended for use twice a day after using the Papulex Moussant Soap Free Cleansing Gel. Papulex Isocorrexion can be used both day and night.

You have the flexibility to use the Papulex products alone or in combination with other acne treatments to achieve best results! Within a few weeks, or maybe days you will find remarkable change in your face, inshaallah!

And always remember, to avoid stress, remain happy and cool every day, exercise or walk in a fresh air, drink plenty of water, eat less oily and spicy food and lastly, have plenty of sleep - minimum 8 hours, and most importantly don't work late night! This is a reminder to myself as well! hehe. Hope everyone will have a great looking skin and have great confidence with Papulex! ;)

Take care girls!

Shazzy.

On Replay...

I love Taylor Swift ever since I heard her song in 2005, Teardrops On My Guitar. She's such a sweet lady..and I love her sense of style and fashion...and make up as well! And her music of course...

Anyway, I've been searching for her new Red Album everywhere in KL. Most of the shop that I went here said they're sold out.... But on my recent trip to Hong Kong, I was so happy when I found her album in one of the music store that I went there the other day! And I have been playing her songs in my room ever since I got back...

And currently I am in love with this song.. It's exactly how I feel right now..hehe ;)

Took a deep breath in the mirror
He didn't like it when I wore high heels
But I do
Turned the lock and put my headphones on
He always said he didn't get this song
 But I do, I do

Walked in expecting you'd be late
But you got here early and you stand and wave I walk to you
You pull my chair out and help me in
And you don't know how nice that is
But I do

And you throw your head back laughing like a little kid
I think it's strange that you think I'm funny cause he never did
I've been spending the last eight months
Thinking all love ever does is break and burn and end
But on a Wednesday in a cafe,
I watched it begin again

He said he never met one girl
Who had as many James Taylor records as you
But I do
We tell stories and you don't know why
I'm coming off a little shy
But I do

But you throw your head back laughing like a little kid
I think it's strange that you think I'm funny cause he never did
I've been spending the last eight months
Thinking all love ever does is break and burn and end
But on a Wednesday in a cafe,
I watched it begin again

And we walked down the block to my car and I almost brought him up
But you start to talk about the movies that your family watches
Every single Christmas and I won't talk about that
And for the first time, what's past is past

Cause you throw your head back laughing like a little kid
I think it's strange that you think I'm funny cause he never did
I've been spending the last eight months
Thinking all love ever does is break and burn and end
But on a Wednesday in a cafe,
I watched it begin again

But on a Wednesday in a cafe, I watched it begin again...

;)

I love her lyrics. Most of her songs that I heard, the lyrics speak exactly like how my diary says! hahaha. By the way, don't you just loveeee the video clip above?? She's sooooo pretty, right?!!!!

P/s: Oh, I miss my "Putra Heights" moments. hehe. ;p

What a Weekend!

I had an exhausting but awesome weekend! Lotsa activities I did! - My normal weekend would be chilling at home if I don't have any events to attend...or just hang out with my friends, go makan or something. But last two days, it was kinda different than my normal routine...I was kinda busy going here and there..But it was really fun.. I love it when my day is full with activities! - But I hate the part where my body aches every where later on! haha ;p

So anyway, on Saturday I got the experience of shooting with TV 9 in the morning, and then two weddings to attend in the afternoon and at night. Meeting my ex-school mates and uni friends was really really awesome!!!! Every one looked so different and grown up but still the same funny character! ^___^

Anyway, then the next day on Sunday that is, I had an interview with our local newspaper, Utusan Malaysia from morning till afternoon in Bukit Bintang! Then, later in the evening I went out with my best buddy Zeam, to catch up and chill..And then at night, I went out for a body massage and dinner with my family.

Pheww.. What a weekend! hehe

Interview session with the reporter from Utusan Malaysia. This guy is very friendly and nice....- and I hope he got my stories/words right! hehehe ;p
(According to him, it will be published next Saturday. And I'm quite nervous to see it actually! hehe..)

Photo shooting in public for the first time! haha

Safiyyah TV 9 Interview, on Hobbies and Interest topic..
I was nervous like hell! LOL. I'm not a word person actually. I get nervous whenever you ask me to talk! haha. I'm more like a typing person! heheheh ;p
Am not sure how was the outcome, but at least I have faced my fears, and did it anyway! hehe

My #OOTD and #WIWT for weddings!

Wearing my favourite color, the mint green. A dress from Nurita Harith and a Ferragamo clutch.

Met all my high school and university friends at Dina's wedding reception! It was really really nice!!! A lot of laughter and FUN that night!!!

We've all grown up!!!! Some just got married...some already engaged, and some are mommy-to-be!!!
Oh man...25 is such a turning point for an old age! Okayyy.....I'm using the wrong word here. It's mature, Wani. You're not that old! (hahaaa..In denial! ;p)
Ishh...dah tua dah aku rupanya..haha ;p

Will upload more pics soon! I have a lot of pending work to do now! Tata..see you later!! ;)

The Samsung NX1000 Smart Camera!

A week ago, before I went to Hong Kong, I posted this photo on my Instagram, telling you guys that I just got a new toy to play with! It's the Samsung NX 1000 Smart Camera! So today I'm gonna do a little bit of review about this awesome camera ok!

Here is what's inside the box.

Now..let me be frank here. I'm not those girls who know a lot about camera. I only know how to point and shoot...anddddd that's all! haha. ;p All the terms for photography and cameras, I don't really know that much! And that's the reason why I was a bit skeptical to buy a DSLR camera last time because I thought it'll be such a waste of money for me, because I will only use the "Auto" button to take pictures, instead of actually using the rest of the buttons that are available on the gadget! haha. So I thought, a "normal" compact camera will do. Plus, I don't really like carrying heavy stuff inside my handbag! (I always carry my camera around in my bag, so this is the reason why I don't like fat, bulky, camera! ;p)

But when I got this camera the other day, and played around with it for a bit, I thought it is so awesome! Not only the color is so girlie.. but the design is sleek and simple/clean as well! And most importantly, it is very light comparing to a SLR camera - it weighs a mere 200gm! This camera is extremely portable and it is such a perfect travel companion! The color comes in white and pink by the way. And I definitely like the pink one! ^__^

Comes with an interchangeable lens and flash

The hand grip makes it easier to hold the camera while taking pictures

I gotta say, this Samsung NX 1000 camera takes great pictures! It produces images that rival those of any premium DSLR! I no longer need to edit my pics when using this camera! The easy-to-use interface make using the NX1000 pure joy! Even though the size is compact, but this camera gives amazing performance with its 20.3 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor, high speed capture and fast auto focusing, that lets you take true-to-life pictures! The NX1000 also has a special i-Scene lens priority mode, which allows you to select the scene modes, six different Smart Filters and the intelli-Zoom function. Smart Filter 2.0 options make it easy to create special moods.

You can make your pictures or videos even more impressive by applying filter effects: Choose the Tilt & Shift Lens effect for a miniaturised look, the Vignetting Effect for striking contrasts, Half-Tone Dot for a comic-book look, and many more! With the Selective Colour feature, you can even choose the colours you want to emphasise.

The thing that I like the most about this camera is the Wi-Fi feature!!! Forget about bringing the right cable along or the memory card reader, etc. This built-in Wi-Fi lets you instantly share special moments with your friends and family directly from the NX1000 via Facebook, Picasa, YouTube, Email, even when you’re on the move! How cool is that?!

Also, the dedicated Smart Link hot key makes it easy to save photos you just took to any compatible smartphone, for even more sharing possibilities! Meaning, besides sharing your photos via all the social networks, you can also share it on your phone!

I posted this photo on my Facebook, just to try out the Wi-Fi feature!

Anyway, here are some of the random photos I took during my holiday using this Samsung NX 1000 Smart Camera!

Here's in summary why you should own this cool camera!

  • It has a 20.3MP APS-C CMOS Sensor
  • It has the built in Wi-Fi Connectivity
  • Has the Smart Link/MobileLink hot key for you to easily share your photos with your friends and family
  • 1080p Full HD Stereo Movie Recording
  • Smart Auto 2.0
  • Has a 3.0” LCD

The Samsung SMART CAMERA NX1000 is the most affordable of the NX range at RM 1999

End of 2012!

Hi everyone!

So today mark the last day of the year 2012! What have you achieved...what have you gained...and what have you lost? :)

It's time for a new book!

Well...the obvious "gained" that I got was my weight obviously...if to compare it with the previous years! LOL ;p (Am still trying to consistently dieting and cardio.  But losing weight seems so hard larrr. Issshhhh. haha ;p) But anyways... I gotta say that overall, 2012 is one of the happiest years for me. REALLY. A lot of amazing things happened to me, and I am very grateful for this despite a little hiccup that happened in the beginning of the year... But that's alright because all the pain and suffering is gone now, and has been replaced with so much happiness, so much laughter, so much joy! Dan alhamdulillah, bertambah murah rezeki saya tahun ini, as to compare it with last year.. A lot of opportunities in my life and blessings from God. Syukur....  :)

I am so fortunate I have the best friend one could ever have. I am so glad that my life seems "lighter" with less problems, stress and headache..but more laughter, happiness and tears of joy. I am so glad I have the best parents ever. I am so glad I have the nicest bosses ever. I am so glad I have friends I could count on. I am so glad I have one amazing colleague. I am so glad I love my job. I am so glad I am still blogging for almost five years now! hehe... I am so glad I have a happy life. I am so glad I get to travel a lot this year. teehee!  (my favourite thing in the world! ^__^ ) And lastly, I am so glad that God granted most of my wishes so far.... Alhamdulillah. Allah is too kind and great!

A year has gone now. The entire past has gone. And another fresh, new year is coming with an opportunity to start again. It is never too late to turn over a new leaf, you know. Today, this moment is time to make a start of something new, and awesome! Here's to a happy life, happy health, happy partners, happy parents, happy kids, happy pets, happy friends, happy job, happy studying, happy bank accounts, happy house, happy office, happy cars, happy shoes, happy wardrobe, happy bags, happy things, happy me, and happy hippie!! hahaha ;p

It's time to open a new book, guys! Oh, I really can't wait for what 2013 brings me! Let's hope for the better me, better life, better everything! Semoga diri ini akan selalu beristiqamah & insaf, dan menjadi lebih baik serta berjaya di dunia dan di akhirat.. Have a happy, happy new year guys!!! ;)

January 1st, 2013. Bismillahirrahmanirrahim...

Buying Your First Car

I got my first car when I was 19 years old. Dad bought for me a car that is value-for-money, as he said I was only a student, and just got my driving license at that time. So why need an expensive car, right...Plus, not trusting my driving skill yet at that time, dad said I need something that is considered "cheap" to maintain or repair if I ever drive recklessly - being a first timer that I was, kan. haha. So yeah..I got my first car from him, and like he has predicted, I never really know much about the car. (Hey, forgive me...I'm a girl! What do I know about engine?? heheh ;p) All I know is that he paid the car fully, and I only have to take charge of the fuel! Little did I know that just like my hair, body and face, my car do need some maintenance every now and then as well! hahahah ;p

I mean, when I first got my car, I didn't know that having a car could be SO expensive! Because my dad has been taking care of all the cars at home, so I don't know much about my car...until one day he left the responsibility to me, because he said I'm working now, so it's my time to pay everything for my car! No more sending him the repair costs, the service invoice, license renewal fees, the insurance, the road-tax receipts and so on.. Sob sobb...

Well I'm lucky that he has paid the car fully though. Otherwise, I'll be paying the car monthly as well! And that definitely sucks!! But even that didn't make my life any better because I just paid RM 450 for a service fee, last month. Imagine if I still have to pay monthly for the car! tskkk.. There’s a lot more to buying a car than just making the monthly payments! Fuel is definitely the obvious extra, but engine oil needs replacing at regular intervals too, as do oil filters, air filters and spark plugs as well, for optimum performance and safety. And then, you will also need to replace your tyres every two years or so. Moreover, you certainly can’t overlook the annual road tax, licence fee and possibly the biggest cost of all, the insurance, all of which are mandatory, by law.
So yes, having a car, definitely means having lotsa expenses to be taken care of! So that's why, when purchasing a car (especially for the first-time buyers), you definitely have to think about all the "hidden" expenses that you need to pay later on!

Anyways, I remembered dad told me, when you're purchasing a car, you don't just look at the price/"surface cost", you have to take into account on the fuel consumption, the maintenance cost, the spare parts, etc etc.. And once you start having your own car, you'll know that having a car could be really a burden if you don't budget or plan well! So having said that, I wanna share with my readers, that Proton now has this exclusive, once-in-a-lifetime offer for the first-time car buyers!

Well, if you’re young, and just started working..and thrilled by the thought of replacing your bus or train pass with your very own set of wheels, then Proton definitely have something special in store for you! To ensure that in the excitement of moving up in the world you don't buy the wrong car, or worse, one that you can't actually afford to buy, I suggest that you read on! ;)

Some of you might think that you're considering to buy a second-hand car models instead of buying the new one, right..? Because your budget is somewhat limited (as is the case with most first-time buyers). Sure, while there may be a good deal or two out there, but it is wise to note that there are many dodgy ones as well; and, if you don’t know what to look for (as many first-time buyers don’t), you could end up with a lemon that spends more time in the workshop than on the road! So bye-bye budget!!!

But worry not darlings! New doesn't necessarily mean expensive. Some cars in the market today start from as little as RM 38,361! Like the Saga FLX! Apart from the affordable price and the awesome benefits that you'll get when purchasing the Saga FLX 1.3 or Saga FLX SE 1.6 like; the RM 2,000 rebate, zero servicing charges for a year, and zero road tax for 2 years or zero licence renewal fee for 5 years, you'll also get to enjoy the up-to-date technology, the Lotus-engineered ride and handling, the roomy and comfortable interiors, the leather finishing, the driver-friendly features, and so on! Last time, these features that the new Saga FLX  have, were only available on the much more expensive car models. But now, those who are having a somewhat limited budget but still want a good car to ride, can now purchase one! - The Saga FLX of course!

I suggest that you read the reviews, and take a test for all the car of your choices. Make comparison of the price, the hidden cost that you need to take care of, the fuel consumption, etc etc. And once you've narrowed your choices down, it’s really important to take a test drive; no matter how perfect a car appears to be, you won't know for sure until you've taken it for a spin. So once you’re satisfied that all your questions have been answered, it’s time to evaluate. Are you getting a great deal for your money or not? :)

If you’re convinced that you are, then all that remains is a little paperwork and you’ll be the proud owner of your very own car; happy with your choice, the price you paid for it and the sound advice that set you on your way! ;)

I hope you'll make the right choice darlings! Talk soon! Take care ;)

XOXO,
Shazzy.

Du'a for Finding your Soul Mate :)

"O God! Please grant me The One,
Who will be the garment for my soul,
Who will satisfy half of my deen and in doing so make me whole..

Make him righteous and on your path
In all he’ll do and say.
And sprinkle water on me at Fajr
Reminding me to pray

May he earn from halal sources
And spend within his means
May he seek God’s guidance always
To fulfill all his dreams

May he always refer to Qur’an
and the Sunnah as his moral guide
May he thank and appreciate God
for the woman at his side

May he be conscious of his anger
and often fast and pray
Be charitable and sensitive
In every possible way

May he honor and protect me
And guide me in this life
And please God! Make me worthy
to be his loving wife

And finally, O God!
Make him abundant in love and laughter
In taqwa and sincerity
In striving for the hereafter! "
