Ready?

Hello, hello hellllllowwww!!!!

Sorry for the loooooong silence! I've so many problems to handle and to deal with lately..that it's making me half crazy noww.. haha. and I started breaking out like a lot too. Thankyouverymuch. Sigh. :(

Doctor said my hormone is unstable..and my stress level is quite high. So that's why I'm experiencing the worst break out I ever had on my face! :( I'm on a medication though... So the medicines that my doctor gave me are making my face super dry. And the sad part is, I can't put anything on my face except the doctor's products. And even if I want to wear make up the doctor said, it has to be a mineral make up..

So while I was fidgeting all week, thinking how am I gonna go out without my make up on with these ugly red bumps on my skin, I remembered this new powder foundation from bareMinerals that I got from attending the Sephora event last time! And I've yet to try and use it!

And speaking of this mineral make up, let me just share with you guys about the whole mineral make up thingy..and also this event that I attended last time since I never got the chance to blog about it the other day..

The event were held at JW Marriott. Only few bloggers were selected for this event..and yours truly were lucky enough to be selected as one of the guests..and get to try the products and bring home some too! - So yeay to that! ^__^

My table....with my name! ;)

So the event was held to introduce to the media on the latest "Bare Minerals" collection and also to share with us the techniques of the world class make-up artist, Sarah Jane (SJ)!

Throughout her career, SJ has worked with celebrities such as Naomi Campbell, Sadie Frost, Sophie Anderton, Jemma Kidd and Jodie Kidd and most recently did the makeup for Alexa Chung and Tali Lennox at the Scottish Fashion Awards. SJ has also worked on various commercial photo shoots with photographers such as Rankin and Terry McGough and supported several advertising campaigns, television shows, films and UK editorial magazines like Marie Claire, In Style, Look, Health & Fitness, Live, Psychologies, Essentials and The Telegraph. SJ’s talent and experience also extends to the fashion industry and she has participated in a number of fashion shows, including Annabel’s Fashion Week where she worked with designers such as Vivienne Westwood, Chanel, Chloe, Ralph Lauren & Holland and Holland. It was at London Fashion Week, where she originally fell in love with bareMinerals after seeing an artist use it backstage!

So why minerals?

Well, minerals are essentials for living cells and their power is extraordinary - that's why bareMinerals has spent years researching their incredible skin-renewing benefits for that healthy, fresh, younger-looking skin.

The key ingredient in bareMinerals Skincare is their proprietary ActiveSoil Complex which contains a comprehensive blend of essential macro and micro minerals such as calcium, magnesium and potassium. This complex is proven to increase cell turnover, resulting in instantly brighter, smoother, younger-looking skin with a reduced appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and smaller-looking pores over time.

So during the dinner, while we enjoy our scrumptious food, SJ explained to us the history of the company...and the benefits of mineral make up! She also introduced us the newest innovation from bareMinerals called READY!

bareMinerals READY foundation

This is the award-winning SPF 20 Foundation that includes minerals like iron and zinc to give you flawless coverage and promote clearer, healthier-looking skin. It is a solid mineral technology powered by their SeaNutritive Mineral Complex - composed of positively charged sea minerals extracted from nutrient-rich algae and seaweed - with antioxidants that deliver proven anti aging benefits.

While SJ did the model's make up, we were served with very delicious meals by Shook restaurant, JW Marriott.

My favourite would be the dessert!

  2. This foundation looks amazing! I do always look for foundation that will have a good enough coverage but feels lightweight. Let me know how it works on that breakout of yours. I have an imperfection-prone skin myself, so if it works for you, I'm going right out to buy it myself!
I usually use PS Beauty's foundation tool on http://www.beauty.ps/tool/foundation to find new foundations. It's pretty accurate and usually finds the right shade for my skin tone :).

    Hope you like it!
