Eat Fats!

Since I was diagnosed with this one little health problem by my doctor 3 weeks ago, I had been reading and buying all things natural and healthy. I need to watch over my diet and start eating clean food if I wish to stop the problem. I admit, all my life I have never really bothered about my health, especially since I was 19 years old, being away from home cooked meals. I used to be one of those people who don't really like eating out - My mom taught us well on eating good food and vitamins, etc. But then living in a hostel just made it kinda hard to eat healthy meals somehow. And until today, I got so used to eating out, and having fast foods, greasy meals and so many other junks that I put into my mouth...that got me into this little health problem today. Sigh. (Thank God it's nothing really alarming, but it's just something that I need to take care of)

Anyways, I find myself going to the Jaya Grocer spending 200 to 400 bucks every week now, buying whole foods and natural/organic products. I hate that healthy/organic foods are quite expensive..but I do love seeing my fridge having lotsa fruits and vegetables!

I have also starting to buy lots and lots of pure essential oils for the skin and body! I need the healthy fats in my diet. Well actually.. WE ALL DO. Our bodies need fat, not just me. It's just the way our bodies were created to function. And that means consuming real, whole foods the way people used to consume, a hundred years ago! So one thing I learned throughout my nutrition and health research is that, one of the most dangerous fads to hit the media is the “low fat” and “fat free” way of life!

Our minds have now become so programmed to view the fat free yogurt, fat free milk, egg whites, and margarine are the healthy alternatives to their natural state-fat and all. A misguided fallacy that persists to this day is the belief that saturated fat will increase your risk of heart attacks. Guys, this is simply just another myth that has been harming your health for the last 50 years!  Pfft. The truth is, healthy saturated fats from high quality minimally processed animal and vegetable sources provide a concentrated source of energy in your diet, and they provide the building blocks for cell membranes and a variety of hormones and hormone like substances. The health of our bodies is determined by the balance of essential nutrients we give it, fat being one of them! So with not enough healthy fats in our diet, could make our bodies suffering the consequences! Like I do now... I used to buy so many fat free butter spreads, yogurt, milk, etc etc thinking that they're healthy! T___T

Stocking up some healthy oils/fats in the kitchen! Virgin Coconut Oil, Avocado Oil, Olive Oil, etc! These are the essential food I take every day now..

When you hear healthy fat, think of balance, stability, and total nourishment. Healthy fats give you incredible energy, they keep the appetite regulated, and they make cells strong and healthy. It is the raw material that is needed to produce and maintain proper hormone function! So ladies with the hormone problems, eat more fats okay? Because hormones are produced using good fats and cholesterol, so if your bodies are not getting these nutrients, hormone problems arise simply because the body doesn’t have the building blocks to make them. The body needs fats for rebuilding cells and hormone production. This is especially important for the female reproductive system. - Foods like butter and coconut oil are full of short and medium chain fatty acids that our body turns directly into energy, and does not store as fat. Eating these fats actually speeds up your metabolism and balances the hormones! ^___^

Healthy fats are a key component to healthy, glowing skin too! Hence, when I found out about this, I quickly purchased a lot of pure essential oils for my skin and hair! Like Hemp Seed Oil, Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil, Argan Oil, etc! I love using coconut oil especially! (I am completely obsessed with all things coconut!) I eat with it. I slather my skin with it. I shampoo my hair with it..and many more! Why? Because it has SO many beneficial things in it!

I have started incorporated coconut oils into my cooking and food...and even in drinks! I love the fragrant and the taste of it!

If you ever wanna start buying coconut oil, make sure you buy the organic, unrefined, extra virgin and cold-pressed forms yeah! They're the healthy ones. You could also buy some other healthy fats like butter from pastured or grass-fed cows (I like Kerrygold brand), organic full fat goats milk, olive oils, nut oils like macadamia, walnut, almond, etc, avocado oil and cod liver oil.

Take a listen to this doctor!

So the next time when you wanna go for some grocery shopping, leave the margarine, or the butter spreads, or those hydrogenated oils, the canola oil, corn oil, vegetable oil, soybean oil, sunflower oil, safflower oil and rice bran oil!! They're the evil oils! They're toxic to your body! Buy only natural, healthy fats, ok?! I will share more of the healthy things that I know in the next post..

P/s: When you think saturated fat, think glowing skin, balanced hormones, and a healthy body!

This entry is specially for acne sufferer like me

I'm not really one of those girls who always have a perfect looking, flawless skin. I do have my good skin days and bad skin days. However, my skin has never really been at its worst, until recently...thanks to my imbalance hormones! >_<

Just after I told you guys that I had almost 100% score for the skin test that I did with SK II last time, I developed kinda severe acne on my face! I don't know what happened. Maybe I was just really, really stressed out for the wedding.. (yes, say hello to this Bridezilla! :p) or maybe they've been there, underneath the skin actually, and something triggered them to come out, all at the same time! - I don't know whether it was the Clarisonic brush that I used like I told you guys last time...or what! But the acne just came out all of a sudden! Sekali keluar banyak-banyak pulak tu! My worst case everrrrrrrr! I never had this kind of pimple before! It's just SO weird...and ugly...and sad. However I do think that this is more like a "disease" or hormonal acne or something. Cuz it's not like my usual once-a-month-PMS case...Sigh. Hormonal acne is a whole new beast, I tell you! :(

My pimples were so bad and my period was irregular too. My hormones were unstable I suppose. In just one month time, my face become from that clear, acne-free skin...to really bad severe acne on my face! :( It was SO bad that I always locked myself up in the room, not wanting to go out and face people! I had to cancel events, cancel going here and there, cancel appointments, cancel doing what I'm supposed to do, etc. Just because I just want to avoid seeing people. I even tried to avoid seeing my own family! Always locked myself up in my room! Yes...it was thaaaaat bad! I was always moody and sad. To be honest, I was so depressed.

Seriously, I had a reaallllly hard time dealing with it. What's more when no one is giving you hope, and all you hear is negative words from them. Thank God my darling didn't mind with it.. But still, can you imagine, coming down to eat your dinner or sahur, and hearing your family talk about your acne, look at them and made you feel bad about yourself for having acne? Every time you sit in front of them with a bare face, just makes it even harder when their eyes can't stop looking at your acne when they're talking to you... And then the stress of going out to meet your friends or even strangers pulak, and they came up to you and said, "what happened/is wrong with your face?" Sighhh...

Ok, I know those people who asked meant well, and worried about me. But imagine the stress I had to handle and to deal with! - The pain from having the acne is one story, the pain of looking at yourself in the mirror with that ugly bumps and redness is another story... And the pain of hearing people talk about it as if YOU DON'T KNOW IT ALREADY...is yet another story!!! T__T

I now understand the feelings of those acne sufferers. I'm with you darlings.. :(

God...I hate pimples. I feel so insecure. I understand deeply for whoever has had pimple problems..and really hate those people who thinks that making fun of it is funny. Because it's not. It really is not! Hmm..I guess, this is a test that God gave me..to remind me to always be thankful and take a good care of His creations and to not always be proud of what I have or anything like it...because actually everything you own in this world belongs to Him, not you. He only lends you his wealth or beauty or health or whatever. And He can take it back anytime He wants. So I guess this test was more like a reminder for me, I think? Although I don't think I was proud last time. I was more like.........happy, I think? But oh well.. whatever. Things has happened now. But after two months, I'm quite surprised that I wasn't as depressed as I used to be. Probably cuz I kinda get used to my face being inflamed already. Heck, it has been 2 months that I live like this! Or probably because I have accepted this test that God gave me with an open heart, and have accepted my flaws...and have agreed that God can take anything within a few seconds. Saya terima. Saya redha dengan ujian ini.  =/ (So okayyy God....I have understand it and learnt my lesson...errr...so can you heal me up already? heheh :p)

I have gone to the clinic by the way...to get help. It has been about two months that I'm on medication. As of now, my skin hasn't really recovered fully. But it's getting there, inshaallah. It's better than 2 weeks ago. I don't have that many bumps like I did, a month ago. Just maybe 2 or 3 more bumps to cure. But....I do have acne marks on the skin which is yet to heal in time. The doctor said, my acne is the kind that's quite hard to cure compare to the other types of acne. - By saying hard, she meant it'll take longer time to heal. Sigh... Because my acne is inside the skin. It doesn't wanna come out, and it doesn't wanna go and disappear either. It just stays there. So the doctor gave me some medicines for the acne to come out. As of now I'm at the stage where I need to heal my acne marks that I have on my skin.. I have quite some red marks on my cheeks... (Sorry, I won't show my naked face, before and after picture. Because like I said, it hasn't cleared yet. Maybe when I get back my normal skin again (inshaallah), I'll do the post in detail! So if you wanna know exactly how I treat my acne problem, please pray for a fast recovery for me! hehe)

My pimples were kind of like this one! Scary, no? :(
[image: googled]

...and now it's sort of like this picture. The healing stage..where there's some red marks on the skin

So anyways, like all the dermatologists/skin doctors in the world, I was forbidden from wearing any make up while I'm on the treatment. Except for mineral make up, as I was told by my very own skin specialist. Of course I knew that. I knew make up is not really good for the skin. I don't even like depending on make up too, actually. But since we're living in the world where some people would judge you based on how you look, sometimes you need those extra help to cover your imperfections! Not because you wanna be fake or be/look like someone else or anything like that. But because you just wanna look and feel good about yourself, so you can have a little confidence and be happy with life. Especially for people that is not perfect like me..

So with this Raya festive, you'll meet a lot of people during open house events - friends, family, relatives, etc, and I'm sure many of us imperfect ladies, wanna look perfect or almost perfect if we can, in front of those people, right? - Cuz like it or not, people tend to judge based on your look. They would look at you and sneer if you don't look like they do or if you have something that is not quite right according to their eyes. So how else can you hide your imperfect face, other than wearing make up..right? (Plastic surgery is another story la, ok? hehe)

Anyway, the picture below is my recent Raya picture. You see those red spots on my cheeks? This is after 2 months of treatment from my doctor...the acne bumps isn't really showing up here, thanks to the antibiotics and steroids pills I took. But I do still have some red marks/acne marks that is quite hard to cover even with my make up! - Will share my meds and topical products for my acne in another post.

Look, it is still visible even after I have covered them with my full coverage foundation + powder! Some of you might say that it doesn't look that bad like how I explained/told you earlier in this post. But bear in mind, I wore thick powder in here...and this is after 2 months of treatment, and my cheeks are actually burning red without the make up on! :(
And I gotta say, I put quite a lot of powder there to cover them...but they still show up! So imagine if I don't have any make up on to cover them?! Imagine how red my face actually is!
T____T

(Whoever invented make up is a genius! God bless you. hehehehe)

For some, wearing make up might mean that you're being fake as you're not exposing the real you...or worse, some narrow minded people would think that wearing make up means you're an attention seeker and calling them vain and give them names or whatsoever it is that they try to put you down, when really..it's just a resentful cover for their own ineptitude and lack of action to make themselves look better. Pffft - Maybe yes, if it's too much. And yes I have to agree, that there are some women who wear makeup which also happen to be vain and attention-seeking, but that's a really different story altogether.  I'm talking about those women who complain about how they look, but yet do nothing about it! And worse, trying to put others down who look good, just to make themselves feel better. Sigh.... What is wrong with the world laa.. huhu. Anyhow, I just don't see anything wrong with wearing make up, if you just wanna have a little confidence by enhancing the way you look!

Like for me, in this case...wearing make up is like my shield, my savior and my protector.. from those cruel people who judged me based on my flaws.. I never really appreciate make up until I got this test from God. I know it's bad for the skin but...I really can't help it. I need to hide them whenever I meet anyone. Yesss...anyone! Even mom, or dad..or even Mr. Fiance - although they already seen the real bumps and redness.. haha. And although my fiance actually didn't mind at all and always say that he loves me for who I am, not because of my look or anything - But I still didn't believe him as I think he just wanna make me feel good about myself (cuz he's a darling like that), and I'm a worrier who worries about anything and everything. haha. - So I just didn't feel comfortable to let myself out there...to anyyyy one especially to the ones I love/who knows me. The feelings of looking into your beloved eyes, and knowing that they say things like "..your face has changed a lot. Poor you" in their thoughts and in their mind, is a bit melancholy and depressing for me. So yes, wearing make up is the answer for me when I'm going out to meet people! Otherwise, just stay at home/your room and slap on some colored acne cream that would stay on the skin (I don't like the absorbed kind!), so the mom won't be so worried and nag at me when looking at my horrible inflamed skin!

Oh gosh..I have typed quite long already regarding my acne story. Hee..I just realized this! ;p Now I want to share with you; the acne sufferers, who want to look good and gain back your confidence..even if it's just temporary! Yes, there is still hope..although it's not a permanent solution, but this is how I do to hide my imperfections! - Hey...at least there's a way to minimize our misery, right?! hehe. I know as we're in the midst of healing our skin, we're not supposed to do this often. So what I'm about to share with you now is for you to do it on emergency days. OK? But for those who is not really an acne sufferer/undergoing treatment like me, but has some little imperfections that you wanna correct, this trick would do just fine for you! Be it freckles, redness, moles, dark circles, etc!

Remember those days when we were in art class in school, our teacher used to teach us what are the primary colors and which color to mix with what color to get a certain color? Remember those days? Now...try to apply that on your red face! - Green is made up of two primary colors; blue and yellow. While red and blue mixed together gives you purple. Yellow added to purple gives you BROWN - or light brown/beige in this case when you mix a green concealer with a beige/yellow concealer, which is the kind of tone you're looking for when you're concealing your redness on your skin!

Corrective color palette basically follow the simple rule of ‘neutralizing’ an opposite color on the skin and then hiding it to match the respective skin tone just as in a Color Wheel where we learn last time in school...to get to where the color opposite to a particular shade that neutralizes it! These concealers usually come in various colors ranging from the natural skin tone color to colors like green and purple.

A color like yellow/beige helps to tone down and even out the skin tone. However, it does not ‘hide’ anything specifically which is why we need other colors to do the hiding work! Like purple or green for example!

So apart from the natural skin tone color concealers, the colors available in the cosmetics market are: White, Beige, Yellow, Orange, Mint Green, Light Green, Lavender Purple, Mauve, Light Blue, Pink and Light Peach. My personal favourite to do the hiding work would be the green and the purple one!

Just for your info:
  • White: Used with Beige to cover up heavy under eye dark circles.
  • Beige: Used to conceal slight shadows and brighten up the complexion and under eye area. Used with White to conceal heavy under eye dark circles and around the nose area to conceal slight shadows.
  • Yellow and Orange: Neutralizes redness and brown discoloration. Used to conceal red blemishes, bruises and tone down any redness on the face near the nose, lip area, cheeks etc and on brown spots. Orange helps to neutralize the blue toned under eye dark circles and purple bruises.
  • Mint/Light Green: Neutralizes redness as well. If the redness is too dark, mint/light green is used with/without yellow to neutralize it. Works the same as the Yellow concealer except only on darker red spots and scars.
  • Lavender Purple: Used to neutralize yellow-colored bruises or imperfections, yellow under eye or cheek area due to an illness/flu etc on bronze-olive skin tones.
  • Mauve: Used to cover up dark/black spots and visible veins on the face.
  • Light Blue: Used to neutralize orange spots, tan lines/spots, age spots and freckles.
  • Pink: Used to conceal dark gray shadows just below puffy under eye dark circle area and and shadows around the nose.
  • Light Peach: Used to brighten up olive skin tones and balance out slight color discolorations. Can be used for slight coverage of blue veins.

So for this Raya...I hide my redness and inflamed skin with some mineral make up. My doctor said, if I really have to wear make up while under her treatment, she suggested me to wear a mineral make up at least. And so I did!

So this is what I used. All mineral-base make up..
I didn't have the colored concealer palette like I showed you above though. But I do have a green colored make up base from Vacci, a Korean brand make up. The best part of this green colored liquid is that it's easy to blend with the skin. It's not really a "concealer" actually, but rather a make up base! So the texture is really nice and dewy, unlike the normal concealer palette where it is quite dry. And oh, Vacci is a mineral make up brand too! I bet my doctor would approve this brand as well! hehehe
(I didn't use their foundation because their foundation that I have with me is a little too fair for my skin..that I can only apply a bit on my face, otherwise I'll look like a ghost! - I need to apply a thick amount of liquid to hide my imperfections, remember? hehe. Plus, I needed a beige/yellowy tone to cover the redness too)

So anyways..just letting you know that mineral make up generally contains less chemical-based ingredients such as parabens, binders, artificial oils, talc, preservatives, synthetic dyes and fragrances, which can help eliminate some of the skin problems. That was why my doctor said it's okay to wear mineral make up if I really need to wear one. Another major benefit of wearing a mineral make up is that it generally does not clog the pores, allowing the skin to "breathe" naturally. As such, it is less likely to aggravate an acne condition or cause flare-ups! - Which is great for people like me who is undergoing a treatment, no? hehee

So how do I wear it?

I pumped my beige foundation and my green liquid make up base side by side onto my hand...and I mix them up!

I like to put my concealer on my hand first rather than applying it straight to my face...so I can figure out how much liquid I actually need on my face, so I won't overdo it.

Mix until you get your perfect color that can hide your redness!

Just like working with a normal concealer, after applying the corrective concealer on the spots, set it with powder..

Check whether you have blend the color well or if you need to add more..
Here's a before and after I used the normal beige concealer (left)
And after I have mixed the beige color with green liquid (right)

The redness appearance is reduced a bit! ;)

Awesome product!!
Now..get yourself the three major colors you need to have on your make up table. You never know when you might need it! You can purchase it here!

NOTE: Under eye dark circles come under blue, purple and brownish tones.. therefore they are neutralized by yellow or beige.

Hope this helps you ladies out there who are struggling with concealing those tough under eye dark circles and red blemish/scar marks.

Happy concealing girls! And happy visiting to your relatives house this weekend! Selamat Hari Raya! ;)

A friend in need is a friend indeed!

Hi and salam girls! I never really write that much these days, huh? Well, I've been seriously busy with things! Really really sorry....but I will let you know all about it soon! hehe. But anyways...today, I have a little bit of free time, so I'm gonna spare some of my time now to write a bit - Okayyy.. maybe not thattt bit. It's kinda lengthy actually. haha. I'm just bored and don't feel like editing pictures. So words, will do! ;)

Anyway, today's topic is about friends. Let's talk about friendship! This is something that I have been meaning to write in here.. It's something that I learned these past couple of years. And today after I saw something, it just made me wanted to write about it even more :)

Well I came across a proverb that says a friend in need is a friend indeed! ...which kinda reminds me a lot of things in my life. So today, with my free time noww.. I decided to make a post about what I have learned about friendship! Anyway, have you ever heard of this quote before? A friend in need is a friend indeed! Well, this phrase can have two meanings actually;
  1. It means that one way to know that someone is really a true friend is when they come to you in their time of need. It means that they trust you with their secrets, know you will not judge them for their problems or their inablitity to solve them on their own. That friend knows they can call on you in an emergency. So in helping them, your "deeds" are proof of your friendship! - For example, if I'm home alone and accidentally cut my hand while doing something in the kitchen, I would need a good friend I could call to drive me to the doctor or to the emergency room. And if I choose you, then I am a friend in need who really needs you to be my friend right now! ^__^

  2. Another meaning behind that phrase could also mean someone who only communicates with you when they need something from you. - They call you a friend, but outside of your repeatedly rescuing them, there is nothing more to the relationship! You don't talk or see each other unless it's to solve his or her problem or they needed something from you that you have. Oh, beware my darlings, of these kind of people! They're not a true friend. These are some terrible friends!  O__o
Anyway, in today's world, I really think that it's really hard to find what I call...a TRUE FRIEND. It's kinda like the same situation in relationship when you really wanted to find TRUE LOVE. So I think this is kinda like the same thing with finding a True Friend in friendship!  You may see two or three or four or even ten people being so close with one another in good times, but that maybe just on the surface... You should not judge a person in those good times honey, but in difficult times as well! (this applies to relationship too!) There are different kinds of friends. True and faithful friends, casual friends and false/fake or fair-weather friends, etc! A true and faithful friend has certain qualities, which you should also have! It is correctly said that to have a friend you should be one. Hmm..I don't know about you, but for me...I have many different category and types of what I call "friends":
a) The Social friends - don't really know each other that much. Only hang out a couple of times and talk about crap and stuff.
b) The Next-Door friends. Neighbours, Co-workers, Schoolmates, etc
c) The "Biasa-biasa" kind of friend a.k.a Casual Friend - You guys always see each other but don't really share personal or even not-so-personal things. You just know a little bit, here and there about one another
d) The Hi-Bye friend. Don't know each other at all but recognizes one another from parties, events or whatever, and say "Hi!" (and only "Hi!") to each other when you guys met. haha
e) The Social-Media/Internet friends. Never met. But know each other in the virtual world. Like you and me here. We are friends in this virtual world! So, "Hi friend!" :)
f) The Only-Gonna-Be-Your-Friend-When-You-Are-Cool-and-Happy-But-Leave-When-You're-Sad-and-Boring! kind of friends.  -__-'
g) The Ass Kisser Friend. Those who only be your very best friend when they want something from you. So they'll show you some reaaallly good qualities in front of you. But betray you later. Pfffffft
h) The Old Friend
i) The New Friend
j) The Imaginary Friend. Erk?
k) The Fake Friend. Ouch. Beware!!!
l) The At-The-Moment Friend. These are the type that would only talk or see each other when they're at the same place as you. i.e. living in the same apartment, going to school together, same class/workplace, etc. However, they would ignore / stop communicating with you once you're not in their life anymore. - Unfortunately this happens to most of us. (It's really sad to know how people just leave and lost contact with you just like that, huh? - Especially if you know the person well for years.)
m) The Close Friend. Share everyyyy thing together.
n) The Best Friend or these days they called it as BFF. Know almost everything about you - Waitt..I think this is kinda similar to the above? haha. Whatever ;p
o) The In-Good-Times-and-Bad-Times friend. - Now...this is a real friend!
p) The Forever-and-Everrrrr...Till-Death-Do-Us-Part Friends. Woww...really? These people are SO lucky to have a true friend like this! hehe
q) The Bad Times Friends. Okayy..this is not really a friend. This is your enemy. Go away. Haha
r) The No-Status kind of friend. LOL ;p
s) ETC!
So there are really a lot of category for "friends" here. But what I like to highlight here today in this post is about REAL friends. From what I learned from my pasts in relationship and friendship, it's best to judge someone you're so close with, when you are in trouble, when you are in need, when you are alone, when you are sick, when you are broke...and et cetera. For me, I personally view friendship a little bit different than others, I guess? Some people might not really care about a friendship. To them, friends are not important. They just view friends...as "justtttt friends", I guess? No "attachment" kind of feelings to the person or whatever. But not me. I cherish my friendship/relationship with whoever that I am so close with. I care about the people I'm around with. But sadly, in this mad, mad world...there are many, many types of people that we need to be aware of. Some are sincere. Some just happens to be...erm.. not so sincere, I guess. We may be having many friends at the time of prosperity. But most of them desert at the time of adversity. We can examine the sincerity of a friend during our time of hardship and trouble. Only a sincere and faithful friend remains with us at the time of our trouble! All others would leave us. It is very painful when our friends turn traitors, huh? tskk.
There are many fair-weathered friends in this world. They terminate their friendly tie as soon as their interests are fulfilled. It is very difficult to find a true friend nowadays, don't you think? I once heard from my lecturer that it is better to establish a true friendship with either a cat or a dog...or a ferret, I would say! haha. Because both these pets or "friends" would remain faithful to their human friends! This is why you need to start guarding yourself up and not trusting people 100%

The truth is, the world out there is cruel.

Very often some hypocrites pretend to be friends. They are more dangerous than avowed enemies. By telling soft words, by praising you to skies, by being so nice to you, and linger around you as long as you enjoy happiness, wealth, health and power. But when fortune and happiness turns against you, they would be nowhere to be seen! By doing that, they actually bring enormous ruin to us when they turn traitors! And that is what hurt the most! A true friend never exploits! He/she rather surrenders. So this is where you need to know who to be nice with, who to be friends and associate with! Sebab tu dulu cikgu-cikgu or parents selalu remind us untuk "pilih kawan". Jadi, buatlah pilihan yang terbaik dalam memilih seorang kawan yang boleh di panggil "sahabat"..... Or just don't trust people 100% and always be on guard! When you're in school, the social group that you're with will probably change. People change all the time. So be sure not to trust anyone 100%!

There can be some real jerks in schools, college and your workplace. And people may be targeting you if they see you're so naive...or nice or can be taken advantage of. So again, I'm reminding you not to put complete trust in all of your friends, even if you know them for 10 years already. I've seen so many betrayal of friends (I'm talking about 20-30 years of friendship), because of business and money or third party in relationship, etc! So don't put 100% trust in people and put anyone you love as your number 1, but instead, you should put Allah and only Him first, in whatever you do! :)

Friends are the family that we can choose. Good friends exercise good influence. They always help their friends, in distress and inspire them to walk on the right path. But evil friends ruin us completely...and disappear when we needed them! These days, the meaning of friendship has changed..and sadly, today, friendship between two persons is often short-lived. It's either you're Best Friends since school or college until now, OR.... you used to be Best Friends when you were studying/working together years and years ago. And then totally lost contact when they find some new friends at the new place or something like that.. or find something else that interests them which doesn't include you anymore. This is typically the common situation for most of us. Only the lucky ones would still have a good relationship/friendship with their Close Friend/Best Friend until 30-40 years or more perhaps. Others, would only come to you again, when they needed something from you.... Yeah, that sucks right? Well, that's life. You could be a very best friend with someone when you work together for 20-30 years, but when you're retired, the person would not even text you, or call you. Apatah lagi jumpa. Especially if you're no longer his/her boss or someone more superior than him/her. So..yeah. This is where you can see and judge whether the person has been sincere to you or not, for all those years. Because like it or not, people tend to forget things that are not in front of them anymore. This is life. When that sucky situation happen, you just have to move on and live your life without them! Life is just full of uncertainties. So you need to guard yourself up, and don't let people walk all over you, honey!
So anyway, this "a friend in need is a friend indeed" proverb has always stands true. You always have friends who are with you during good times, but the ones who stick with you, when you face tough times,  when you truly need them, are the ones that are indeed your friends!
(However, my friend is quite confused with this phrase. She thought like.. why should she consider someone a friend, just because they are needy? hehe) Well, let me give you another example here:

A friend in need:
When you are in need. When you need help, when you are unable to give any repayment. When you are broke and everyone hates you, etc.

Is a friend indeed.
If your friend stays by you, when you are in need, that is a true friend! So they are a "friend indeed!". - BUT If your friends only stay by you when you are rich, popular, beautiful, berpengaruh & berpangkat besar, and for whatever reasons it may be, etc etc...then these are not your real friends! So be sure to know who your true, and real friends are! The world out there is cruel, my dad always reminds me this. So you should be more careful on this, ladies! :)

So in our day to day work, we come across so many persons and all of them are not our "real friends". Each person has an individual character and it is hard to find people who share your thoughts, interests, jokes, etc, so when you find one, please stay true with one another! (same goes to relationship too!)

Many things are needed to make friendship a real one, including trustworthiness, support, honesty, and loyalty, etc. Friendship (and relationship) is supposed to make both people happy, and enjoying their relationship. Good friends know all about one another. A person who is honest and sincere can prove to be a good friend!
I think friendship grows on a mutual trust and help. Friendship demands time and effort. So sometimes you have to step over your pride and put yourself on the place of your friend, and see what she feels even if you think you are correct. But in exchange, a friend can provide a lot of support and comfort in good times and bad.. So if you find someone so dearly, hold on to that person and don't let go! However still, it might occur that at one point of life you are best friends, and then something happened and you can never be friends anymore. Well like I said, things happen, this is how life is..and you need to move on and find another friend and happiness..and remember to guard yourself up next time, so you won't hurt anymore! Your life is blessed, if you have a faithful friend. So be sure to be one first!

Mahatma Gandhi once said that adversity is the crucible test for friendship. You know your real friend, only when he stands by you, in times of adversity. It is said that prosperity makes friends. Adversity tries them. So...are you a real friend to your friend? I hope you are! ^__^

Well I'm glad I found one........for now? heheh. Joking! ;p - Inshaallah, I hope you'll be my best friend until Jannah! Oh, I love you, my friend! And thank you Allah for this wonderful gift! ;)

Pregnant Pants

Last week after work, before going back home, I stopped by Aeon Jusco to purchase some groceries...Then after spending a good 1 hour in the sundries area, just before heading out to the parking area, I have a feeling that I gotta check out the Ladies Department they have there..

And oh...I feel like a little kid in a candy store! I saw a lot of awesome and pretty pants over there! They're so cute and pretty! And most importantly, they're super cheap! One pants cost like RM 25 - 29 jeeeee!!! Macam orang jakun sekejap..cuz actually I needed a few colored pants that has a nice cutting, and have been searching for them high and low... Surprisingly, I found them at Jusco with a realllllly perfect price tag! O_____o

So without thinking much, I took about 12 pairs, I guess. Not so sure. But it was quite a lot. hahah. Different cutting and colors! Mannn.... I was a happy kid during that hour! haha

Anyways... I told my sister that I purchased a maternity pants among the 12 pants that I purchased in Jusco the other day. She went like.."Whaaaattt??! Hang dah kenapeeee? Orang yang pregnant pun tak nak pakai maternity pants. Hang ni yang tak pregnant nak pi beli pulok, dah kenapeeeee? Lawak la labu oii!" =/

Err...I told her it was too cute that I just could't resist. It's a cobalt blue pants...and it's polka dot! Plus, the only difference in maternity pants and normal pants is just around the waistband area. - They don't have zippers or buttons like the normal pants; but just the bands. - Just like my pajama pants at home, I thought.

So at that time, I was thinking that this kind of pants is much easier to wear than the normal pants I have....cuz I just have to sarung and go, which is easier, no? But boy I was wrong. No wonder my sister told me not to buy a maternity pants...

Went out to get my coffee yesterday, wearing this pregnant pants I bought in JJ...and because the waistband is a little bigger than my unpregnant tummy, the pants kept on slipping down my hips! And I have to pull the pants like a weird person for every 30 seconds! Pffft.

Thank God I only went out for an hour that day. Otherwise, I'll be pulling my pants constantly for the rest of the day! hahah. Ok, lesson learned. No matter how cute the pant is, don't buy maternity pants! LOL. Or at least.....wear a belt! hehe

Aite, talk soon! ;)
