Biyan Bride!

I went to Jakarta last Monday with my fiance to do the fitting for one of our baju for the wedding. During our short trip, we managed to do a couple of things..and went to a few places. So one of the things that I love the most from our trip was visiting the Biyan Bride boutique! Yes, the international brand! - Oh..so many beautiful pieces to see and to hold! There's always something magical about being in a bridal boutique, don't you think? I could spend hours in there! hehe ^__^

This is pretty!!

Ooh la laaa...

Biyan always has such intricate designs and beautiful beading works! I loveee!

I love how elegant and exclusive their designs are! Everything is hand made and has very intricate design! I personally love the one on the left! So elegant! Too bad it's see-through! So a hijaber like me can't wear it!

All of the baju here are soooo heavy!

Pretty packaging, no?
^__^

Anyways..I made a kebaya for my first and third reception dress from a designer in Indonesia. And will be wearing a modern dress on my second reception from a designer that is half Malaysian, half Indonesian - Can you guess who? hehe. And for my akad nikah, I would be wearing a reaaaaaallly simple baju kurung from one of our awesome local designer. Oh, I'm so excited to see all of the dresses when they're ready!

According to the Indonesian designer, my kebaya would be covered with lotsa bead works! Goshh...it must be heavy, I can't imagine when he showed me the parts that would be covered with bead works!!! The designer made my dress from scratch with no beadings at all...and now, the lace will all be covered with beads, beads, and beads! Seriously I can't imagine.... O__o

I just hope I don't blink so much like a Christmas tree that day! haha. I love simple design, if you don't know it already... So the kebayas really made me feel a little worried if it turns out to be soooooo heavy! =/

P/s: Some of the pics are from google

A little update on the Wedding Prep

Gosh...sorry for the looooong silence! I just couldn't find the right time to blog these days! I haven't even done with my engagement preparation/vendor review posts yet, what more to blog on the wedding preparations itself! Ishhh. I'm a bad baaaaaaaad blogger! :(
You see, I'm always out these days..and when I'm home, I'd be too tired to even switch on my laptop.. Most of the time I'd only online via my phone. Hmm..such a boring life I have! I wish I have 93 hours in a day! haha. :P

Anyways, just a little update on the wedding preparations...as of now, I'm in the middle of making and creating my invitation cards. I'm just gonna do a simple one, malas nak pening kepala jadi bridezilla tak tahu color/design apa nak. haha. So simple je lah. Senang. I will leave it to the card maker and designer. Then lepas ni dah boleh relax a bit, I hope! But we haven't settle for the door gifts yet, the rest..I think quite settled..kot? Oh, maybe. Gotta check My Book later. So anyway, last time during my sisters' wedding, my parents bought the door gifts' containers in Thailand, Dubai and India. My mom loves giving people something quite unique. She said she doesn't really like giving things that are quite common..takut nanti orang buang! huhu. I guess that thing runs in my blood now! I also feel the same whenever I wanna give something to people.. haha. So she would search high and low for the best price, design, color, shape, quality etc.. (Tapi kalau dah tak ada masa, anything will do lah ye? hehe)

She went to Istanbul the other day to find for the one, but still couldn't find any one that suits her budget. The price there are crazy, crazzzyyy expensive! Then we went to Jakarta last week, to search for the gifts but sadly we couldn't find any that suits our taste. We went there not just for the door gifts though, but for another purpose as well;  to do my third and fourth dress there. My fiance followed too. My dad only visited us for a day, and he went back to work. He's a busy man like that. huhu. So it was just me, my mom, my sister and him. It was such fun times! I loveeeee traveling with him! ^__^

My fiance is a really really funny and friendly man. Even my sister (whom I think, from my observation, is very shy (or uptight. lol) around guys, can really laugh her butt off in front of him! haha). He's a goofy guy by the way. He loves making people around him laugh...which is great cuz he always make me happy! Alhamdullilah :)

So anyway last weekend we went to Jakarta for some spa session, shopping, and buying/making some wedding dresses. Here are some of the photos I took while I was there (Sorry for the low quality photos. I can't be bothered to take out my digicam out from my bag, and start snapping each and every detail of my wedding journey..cuz doing wedding stuff really tires me out! Only iPhone will do la k! hehe

First time traveling with him.
I gotta make sure he bring enough clothes, being a concerned fiancee that I am. haha

Nasi Padang!
I love Ayam Pop!!

Whenever we visit Jakarta, this place is a must visit!!

Oh, I wanna try this package! I wish we have Taman Sari Royal Heritage Spa in KL too, so I can do this spa package for the bride to be, for the whole week, just right before the wedding! How niceee

Top to toe treatment for the bride and groom to be!
^___^

Veryyyy hard for him to take a "normal" picture. Ishh

Visited Biyan Bride

Please go eat Sedap Malam!! Sebab memang terlalu SEDAP restaurant ni! Especially ketam diaaaaaa. Oh my god, meleleh air liur. huhu

Mother-daughters day out!

See...I told ya. Suka sangat buat muka cik abang sorang ni. huhu.
(Ok, aku pun sama sebenarnya. hahah)

Ok lah.. Will try to update more on the preparations when I have settled with just a few things later... Stay tuned, and thanks for visiting/reading my blog darlings!

Shazzy.

Day Five in Indonesia

So I'm up all night, thanks to the new coffee from Starbucks that I tried tonight. haha. It's the Dolce Latte or something....gosh so yummy, so strong, just how I like my coffee to be. BUT, it has made me stayed up all night that I didn't feel the need to go to bed AT ALL!!!! haha. Well it's reallllly good if you wanna stay up to complete your project or study or something..otherwise, don't ever drink it at night! hehe ;)

Anyway...I watched two movies tonight. And then after not knowing what else to do, I decided to open up my old photo albums/folders in my external hard disk drive and guess what I found?!

All my traveling pictures from Indonesia, Holland, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, etc!!! I thought I have lost them! (so many pictures and stuff in my laptop, that I seem to neglect and forget a few things -___-' )

So I went and checked my blog posts, just to see what have I blogged about and what I haven't blogged about. And apparently, I didn't finish my Indonesia trip story?!! How did that happen laa?? Oh mann.... I realllllllyyyy thought I have done all of them! haha. Silly me. Probably because they're too long that I thought I have written all of them?? haha. Maybe.

So...since I have nothing else better to do at this hour, (I know at 3 am, this should be the best time for me to pray and do all the ibadah, but..it's that time of the month, so I'm on a holiday today. heh ;p), thus I decided to finish my story and let my fingers write about Indonesia tonight! ^____^

Okay. Where did I stop?

Let's check it out.....Day One in Bandung is here. Day Two here. And you can find Day Three and Four in Jakarta here. So now, Day Five and Six then!

*******************************

On our fifth day in Indonesia (second day in Jakarta), the driver took us to this place called Taman Mini Indonesia. It's something like a Miniature Town/Park in other countries that I've visited before. But this one is a little different, because it's not so mini actually, like the one I went in Rotterdam, Holland. - That one is too mini. hehe. This one is more like a park/museum where they show you everything you need to know about Indonesia customs, rituals, traditions, heritage, etc. - From their cultural stuff, the unique heritage houses, the traditional dresses, the wedding customs and dresses, the tools they use, the different lifestyles, etc! They even have some cultural events in here if you would like to see..

With 13,000 islands and 27 provinces in Indonesia, it's really hard to see all of Indonesia, right? So this Taman Mini Indonesia is such a great place to visit and see all of Indonesia in one park/place, and summarize them all! ;) - The park is filled with famous buildings from all parts of Indonesia and authentic examples of the various cultures through Indonesia.  This place is hugeeeee I tell you.. so I would advice you to plan the whole day there if you're the kind who loves all cultural stuff. And because the weather there is the same like ours, I would suggest you to bring water and towel too, because it can get pretty hot over there..

My Indonesia Trip: Day 3 and 4 in Jakarta

So I told you on my second day in Bandung, I had food poisoning right? Thanks to that yummy meat! Pffft...

So yeah..I spent the next day, one whole day in my room, vomiting and diarrhea-ing. It was a one hell of a day! My butt hurt. My mouth hurt. My throat hurt. And my tummy hurt so badly! I was too weak! Seriously..going to the toilet every now and then isn't such a nice scene. It wasn't funny at all! I thought I was gonna die cuz I was too weak that time! tskk..

So I just slept in the room while all of them went shopping. I ordered room service and took my meds..and off to bed until they came back from shopping..

I couldn't eat/ didn't feel like eating anything.. So I just ordered soup and fruits..

And around 3 or 4 pm..they came back with all their shopping bags in hand. And feeling so excited.. I was a bit jealous that time, waking up to see my brother bought so many cool stuff..and rant all about the outlet he found/went.. Sigh.. What do to. This girl was sick.

Anyway...my mom did the packing for me since I really couldn't get up.. We checked out that afternoon and we went straight to Jakarta..

Checking out..
I was still so weak, so I rested at a sofa at the lobby there, while my parents were doing the check out thing..

After a long boring hours of our journey from Bandung to Jakarta, we finally reached our destination! (I slept all the way! Still soooo weak! huhu)

This was our hotel...
The Sari Pan Pacific Hotel

One word:  Magnificent! The hotel was great.. the ambiance was great.. and oh, our room was great too! It was sooo spacious.. I love it!!!! Especially the bed and the bathroom! It's amazing how all these little luxury things in life could change my mood from very very sick...to errr.....not so sick? heh ;p Ok fine...probably because the medicine has started to kick in by the time I arrived there..hehe

The pathway to our room!

Anyway, we stayed at the 15th floor. It was the Junior Suite...  But for me, the size is not "junior" at all! At least to my eyes.... - everything didn't look "junior" to me! haha... Everything was so niceee... So luxurious!

I wonder how does the senior suite looks like! Ini pun dah besar and awesome...huhu

So this is TV/relax area..
