Thank you Utusan Malaysia! :)

When I was a teenager (around 14 to 15 years old), I've always dream of appearing on a cover of a magazine or something! HA HA ;p And little did I know, 10 years later, I appeared on a national newspaper! heheh. Well, nothing big...nothing really special about it, but I really can't believe that just by blogging, I can make it into a local newspaper! O__o

Last Saturday (12.01.2013), I appeared on our national newspaper, Utusan Malaysia, on the front cover of their .COM section, for the "Blogger Pilihan" column. They called me about a week before the publish date, to interview me. At first I thought like..umm...what do they want to interview about la? I'm not thatttt interesting, and I'm not a big blogger like other celebrity bloggers pun kann.. So what is it that they wanna know la, I thought to myself. But well, they said they find my blog interesting, and they wanna know more about me...like, who is this Shazwani Hamid la, etc. haha.. 

So I said yes to it although I was given like....just a few days to prepare myself for it! Please note that I am usually very shy and always nervous when talking with strangers (that is more than two, usually), but because I thought I wanted to get out of my comfort zone and just do it and experience it...so I accepted it, and did it anyway! ;) 

And I'm glad I did it actually! (Although I don't really like my pictures in there...cuz I think I look weird. LOL ;p) But well, it wasn't that hard.. I mean, Thank God there were only two people who came that day - the reporter and the photographer. So yes, I can talk naturally. haha. (I'm really a shy person..and always so nervous with strangers, but that day...I was really fine! Probably because the reporter and the photographer is soooooo cool and nice, which made me feel so comfortable! ^___^)

Actually, the day before the photo shoot and the interview with Utusan, I had another interview on Saturday that week. That one was from TV9. So basically, that whole week I was fidgeting all the way since I got that phone call from TV 9 and Utusan since Tuesday till Friday! haha. Shooting back-to-back on a weekend! - I was so worried about everything... my pimple, my fat, my outfits, my make up, my talking skills, like would I be able to explain clearly, anddd everythinggggg! haha. Suddenly everything seemed to be a big problem to me! haha.  But when the day comes, it wasn't that bad pun, actually! - OK, maybe a little bit nervous for the TV9 interview, but well, this two experience, has actually made me learned something.... - That I really should stop my negative thinking patterns in my head, which constantly worried about anything and everythinggg, being the shy girl that I am kannn.... And to actually start educating my mind to think more positively, and that it will all be okay! hehe.. ;p

Anyways...enough on explaining a little bit info about me and my shyness..haha. Here's the article that came out on Utusan last Saturday! ;)

Thank you Utusan for choosing me to appear on your paper. You guys rock! You made my day when the moment I went to a petrol station that morning to fill up my fuel, and saw my face on the newsstand that day! hehe. So thank you for making my day! ;)

The Birthday Girl

So last Thursday is my birthday. Another year of getting....umm....wiser? heh. I refused to say the word old, because I know I'm still young. hehe ;p So happy birthday to me. I celebrated my birthday on the 16th, 17th and 18th actually.. 3 days in a row! Before, during and after my birth date! hehe. Thank you, guys! And I've yet to celebrate it with my gals next week! Yeayyy... =D

So here's a summary of the 3 days birthday celebration! 

By the way....why do people always wanna treat me with food on my birthday laaa? I have enough saturated fat in my body, thank you verrry much! hahahaa ;p

Anyways...I think, of all the years...this year for me, is the happiest birthday ever. I won't state here why exactly, but good things are happening to me these days! Alhamdullilah. And also, I'm very grateful that I have the best of friends I could ever have, Shida and Zeam. Really. These people are the best! They have taught me the meaning of a true friendship. Thank you for being such a great friend and thank you for the laughter you gave me! ;)

My wish for this year would of course to have all the good things in life. You know....health, wealth, success, happiness, etc! I wish that God would keep me in great health, and I hope to have a better life and a happier me! Semoga diri ini akan sentiasa beristiqamah dan insaf, bertambah amalan, serta menjadi insan yang lebih baik, dan berjaya di dunia & di akhirat.

Oh...and I also, hope to find Mr. Right or My Soul-Mate or My Other Half or The One or whatever you call them.... soon! hehee.. ;p

My sister: Tapi patut syukur la kan, kalau tak dapat yang panas baran. Aku rasa kalau aku dapat suami panas baran, mau kena pelangkung kalau tengah PMS. ahahahahah

Me: Tu laaaa.. Dulu that emo guy, kaki gaduh je dengan aku. Yang ni pulak, kerja dia gelakkan aku bila aku emo. ahahahah. So haruslah bersyukur kenal orang macam ni..hehe

My sister: Tapi dia boleh take things seriously tak.. Kang tengah akad nikah ke or apa-apa yang serious, dia pi gelak-gelak pulak. hahaha

Me: OMG! hahaha. Tu la pasal...jiwa dia terlalu riang... Taktahu lah akuuu.. haha.. Tapi tak kotttt. Dia boleh serious. Bila perlu serious, dia serious la.. haha

Of Weddings and Reunion

Hi girls! Sorry for the silence. I was busy with TV 9 and Utusan Malaysia shooting last week, and also had some activities going on during the weekends..thus, no time to blog! Heeee

So anyway, 2 weekends ago, I was invited to attend my ex-high school + uni friend's wedding at Dewan Perdana Felda. Dina looked so pretty that night! I love her dress! So elegant!

I didn't take lotsa photo of the wedding though. I was too busy having fun with the rest of the girls who were there! hehe. I mean, just imagine the excitement of seeing your old friends! - It has been almost 10 years of not seeing my high school mates! Everyone looked so different, so matured...but yet still the same somehow! hehe.. Some already pregnant, some with the kids...some just got married...and some on the way! hehe.. And also, I've seen half of them already wearing a hijab! Alhamdullilah...I'm so happy to see them! (These are the girls who used to be so sexy and hot last time! heheheh.. And now..everyone looked so beautiful adorning the hijab! ^___^)

Oh mannnnn. This is it, huh? I am reaching to thattttt era where everyone in your world has a family...and becoming mommies and daddies already! Goshh..I feel so grown up! haha =/

The Power of Three!

I am currently on a new acne product that I use at night, which is recommended by my doctor. (I still use my old skincare regime...but I add this product for my night time routine). I have been using this product for about one month now..and Alhamdulillah, my pimple has subside a bit and my skin look better than before! Not too oily like last time! (Pimple comes on a face that is oily and shiny! So avoid using any oily products on your skin..or that can cause your skin to look oily and shiny! I love Taylor Swift ever since I heard her song in 2005, Teardrops On My Guitar. She's such a sweet lady..and I love her sense of style and fashion...and make up as well! And her music of course... 

Anyway, I've been searching for her new Red Album everywhere in KL. Most of the shop that I went here said they're sold out.... But on my recent trip to Hong Kong, I was so happy when I found her album in one of the music store that I went there the other day! And I have been playing her songs in my room ever since I got back...

What a Weekend!

I had an exhausting but awesome weekend! Lotsa activities I did! - My normal weekend would be chilling at home if I don't have any events to attend...or just hang out with my friends, go makan or something. But last two days, it was kinda different than my normal routine...I was kinda busy going here and there..But it was really fun.. I love it when my day is full with activities! - But I hate the part where my body aches every where later on! haha ;p

So anyway, on Saturday I got the experience of shooting with TV 9 in the morning, and then two weddings to attend in the afternoon and at night. Meeting my ex-school mates and uni friends was really really awesome!!!! Every one looked so different and grown up but still the same funny character! ^___^

Anyway, then the next day on Sunday that is, I had an interview with our local newspaper, Utusan Malaysia from morning till afternoon in Bukit Bintang! Then, later in the evening I went out with my best buddy Zeam, to catch up and chill..And then at night, I went out for a body massage and dinner with my family.

Pheww.. What a weekend! hehe

The Samsung NX1000 Smart Camera!

A week ago, before I went to Hong Kong, I posted this photo on my Instagram, telling you guys that I just got a new toy to play with! It's the Samsung NX 1000 Smart Camera! So today I'm gonna do a little bit of review about this awesome camera ok!

Here is what's inside the box. 

Now..let me be frank here. I'm not those girls who know a lot about camera. I only know how to point and shoot...anddddd that's all! haha. ;p All the terms for photography and cameras, I don't really know that much! And that's the reason why I was a bit skeptical to buy a DSLR camera last time because I thought it'll be such a waste of money for me, because I will only use the "Auto" button to take pictures, instead of actually using the rest of the buttons that are available on the gadget! haha. So I thought, a "normal" compact camera will do. Plus, I don't really like carrying heavy stuff inside my handbag! (I always carry my camera around in my bag, so this is the reason why I don't like fat, bulky, camera! ;p)

But when I got this camera the other day, and played around with it for a bit, I thought it is so awesome! Not only the color is so girlie.. but the design is sleek and simple/clean as well! And most importantly, it is very light comparing to a SLR camera - it weighs a mere 200gm! This camera is extremely portable and it is such a perfect travel companion! The color comes in white and pink by the way. And I definitely like the pink one! ^__^

I gotta say, this Samsung NX 1000 camera takes great pictures! It produces images that rival those of any premium DSLR! I no longer need to edit my pics when using this camera! The easy-to-use interface make using the NX1000 pure joy! Even though the size is compact, but this camera gives amazing performance with its 20.3 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor, high speed capture and fast auto focusing, that lets you take true-to-life pictures! The NX1000 also has a special i-Scene lens priority mode, which allows you to select the scene modes, six different Smart Filters and the intelli-Zoom function.
