It's Seventeen Again! :)

Today's date is January 17th, 2012.

It's a happy Tuesday for me. Today is my day. Today is my birthday. A little girl named Shazwani Hamid was born on this date, years and years ago - at 11.26 am to be specific, in the heart of Kuala Lumpur... She used to be so tiny. And now...she's a grown young lady! Oh, how time flies!

I was only a few months when this pic was taken...and now...I'm a big, biggggg girl already! O__o

From wearing diapers, to wearing bibs, to wearing rompers, to wearing dresses and skirts, to wearing t-shirts, to wearing baju kurung, to wearing jeans, to wearing blouses, to wearing school uniforms, to wearing scarf, to wearing robe, to wearing dinner dresses, to wearing working shirts, to wearing heels! hehe..

Oh, I'm a grown young lady.

Welcome to the club of being a grown-up, Cik Wani! Next on the list would be: "to wearing a white dress, to wearing maternity clothes, to wearing mommy's outfit, to wearing....err... kain batik?" LOL. We'll see what I'll be wearing as an old lady! hahahah.. ;p

Red Lippy and Make Up

When making a strong statement with an obvious lip colour like the saturated chilli red pouts, dont over do it! Or you'll end up looking trashy/cheap like how I did it last time! hahahaha - So keep the rest of the face subtle and add contour with a wash of russet-beige eyeshadow on the upper lids!
I just tried this look last week, by the way.. but dunno whether it's okay on me, or not! hehe

Remember last time I attempted to wear the red lip look to a fashion event? Oh well...after trying on a various different looks, I still ended up wearing my normal make up that night! Pfft. You know, the brown eye shadow, with eyeliner, mascara and a nude lips. Well that's my usual make up. That's my safest make up. I don't really like bold make up actually. I think it would make me look too serious and too grown up, although I am already a grown up. heheh ;p (For events, I think...okay la. But for "normal" days...I don't think I would prefer that on me...)

But being a girly girl, I do like to try on different looks and play around with colors and whatnot... But not just try them in the room, but actually able to wear it outside of my room! But I just can't do that... Especially if it's the Red Lip look! Cuz not everyone can pull off the looks. I've seen some girls bragged about how trendy and up to date they are with that kinda look, but to me....it just seem so wrong, and I don't want to be one of those girls..heeee.. And that's why I play it safe by not trying new things! haha.. Guess I'm just afraid I would look terrible like them instead of looking nice..haha.. But I've seen a lot of girls wearing it, and I do like it..and always wanted to wear it and trotting around with my chilli red lips, without feeling weird or feeling like I'm in my 50's already or something like that. haha... But I can't!
I think, I'm just that boring that I couldn't help but to feel awkward if I were to wear other than my usual style, in front of people! huhu..

But I thinkkkk......This time I pretty rock this Red Lip look....ermm....kot?? heheh. ;p (In my perasan opinion laa..hahahah ;p)

Not too red and bold, not too trashy/makcik look. And not overly done or whateverr.. Just......the right amount of color on me.... Err..I think? heh ;p

So what do you think? Did I succeed? Or I've failed?

Look 1: Orange-y Red lips

On me: Powder, light shade of brown eye shadow (only one shade), lots and lotsa coats of mascara, orange and red lipstick.

Wore this look with nude color outfit - Brown turban, off-white blouse, nude pump heels, black pants, red clutch and gold/bronze accessories.

Look 2: Chilli Red lips

On me: foundation (one shade lighter), powder, light brown eye shadow (only one shade), very fine line of black eye liner on the upper lid, one coat of mascara, very red shade of lipstick.

Wore this look with pale color outfit - grey scarf, cream shirt, black pants, grey handbag, and a little red accessories to complement my lips! hehe - red rose buds on the shoulder and a red peep-toe heels. ;)

While friends said I look fine, my boyfriend and brother still think I over do it. My boyfriend always prefer me in natural make up or better yet, wearing as close to nothing on my face.. And that means, no make up whatsoever at all. Pfffft. *rolling eyes* Men. They never really know about colours, I think? haha ;p

Oh well...Okay okay, I know most men prefer us all in a simple white T-shirt and jeans and a bare face yadda yadda yadda..right? All the natural, simple things, right? So sexy, so casual for them! But.... I do not wear make up or dress up to impress guys or whoever. (Unless, if I have to. Like the first date or something! LOL ;p)

I do it for myself. I wear makeup to entertain myself and mayyyybe, to impress other women sometimes. Just a bit. Cuz I like beauty things and I like sharing it with people who has the same interest as mine... And makeup for me, is just to enhance beauty, and not covering up ugly. (Well, only sometimes...when the ugly side in me popped out! heheh) So anyways..I like sharing these beauty things with these ladies that use/wear beauty things and has the same interest as mine.. Cuz isn't it fun, girls? heheheh..
And just what this blog is for, actually. It's for the people who share the same interest as mine. Not for boys! ;p
If you know me well, you'll know just how many girl friends I have (and almost no guy friends. hahaha.)

I am a heterosexual/straight woman, but I tend to care more about what other women think about my makeup than men actually! And I also care a lot about what these pretty ladies put on them. Like...I'm sooo impressed when I see gorgeous ladies! They just bring out the lesbo in me! hahaha.. ;p I guess, I like a well groomed person. A pretty woman. And I think most women pun sama....right? We like pretty things. But most men just don't get it why we put on all these ridiculous things on us, as they thought. Hahaha.. The intention of wearing makeup and dressing up isn’t solely to impress men la. It’s just part of how we groom ourselves to look presentable in society....right girls? ;)

Oh, I really do hope men realize this! LOL ;p

So anyways, I'm aware that my mode of self-representation is often more impressive to women and gay men than the dudes... so girls, what do you think of this Red Lip look I had on earlier? Is it okayyyy? LOL.;p - (OMG. My conclusion is too long for this part! hahahahah ;p)

Review: Leaders Clinic Sulfur Blackhead Suction Nose Pack

Remember last time I did a post on the Leaders Clinic Masks? Oh, they have such awesome masks! (Go read my review here, if you haven't already) Anyway, I've read somewhere that their nose pore strip is as great as well. So I'm gonna try out their Sulfur Blackhead Suction Nose Pack pulak!

Well.. well well....we all know that the nose contains many oil glands, right? And when the pores become clogged with oil, dead skin and bacteria, those little nasty whiteheads can form... So it is a very common spot for whiteheads to develop over there. Yeeek.
Thus, it's so common to see some visible whiteheads or blackheads popping out on people's nose if they don't treat and clear them out... (I've always feel so geram whenever I see visible blackheads or whiteheads on my friends' noses. I felt like wanting to picit them out! haha ;p) Anyway...there are many ways to loosen the whiteheads.. You could steam your face to make them disappear, or cleanse your face using your fave cleanser/scrub regularly or..... you could use a nose strip! I like to use the latter method the most! It's such an awesome feeling seeing most of your "dirt" has been sucked up! hehe

Anyways.. this is my third time using this nose pore strip.. (I used it last week once, and this week twice). So after using it for quite a few times, today I'm gonna share it with you girls and write a lil' review on it ;)

I'm sure you guys are familiar with a nose pore pack...right? They have a lot of this thing in the market.. But what makes this pore pack from Leaders Clinic different than the others is the ingredients in it! - It is made from Sulfur that is useful for acne medication, and problem skin treatments! Because sulfur can help to kill bacteria on the skin.. And it also contain Charcoal, which can absorb/controll excess oil on the skin and is excellent for exfoliating, and refining pores!

Another interesting thing about this product is that, after using this nose blackhead strip, there is a step two!! - It's the Pore Stamping Serum, they called! The result of this serum is pretty visible. After applying the serum, my nose area is getting less oily and I can see that my pores are getting smaller. Oh gotta love this product! ^__^

Read on..to see how I use it and the before/after result! hehe (Beware, it's a little nasty though. Haha ;p)

This is their Sulfur Blackhead Suction Nose Pack.

It consists of two items in the pack. One is the blackhead remover strip, and another one is the pore serum gel..

One box comes with 10 strips and one tube of that serum gel to be applied after you've removed the strip..

So let's see how I've used it!

Step 1: Take out the sulfur blackhead suction strip

(It has quite a nice scent, by the way! ^___^)

Step 2: Cleanse your face and wet the nose area

(that's not shine/oil on the nose. That's water)

Oh, look at that nasty white/blackheads on that nose! I kept it for 3 days just for this post! Heeee ;p (Yuckkk, I know! haha)

Step 3: After you've wet your nose, apply it on your nose like usual..

And wait for 10-15 minutes.......andddd.. play around with your headgear while you wait. Pffft ;p

(Yes, I have a pimple popping out over thereee. Very unsexy. But..whatever! It's that time of the month! haha. ;p)

Step 4: After a good 15 minutes, strip it off, baby!

Strrrrrraaaaaaaaappp!

*OOOOOUUCCCCHHHH!*

Okay I lied a bit. What a drama queen! Pffft. It's not that painful, really. In fact, it's very easy to remove actually..hahah..

So let's see the (nasty) result!

Step 5: Take a good look at your own dirt...and think twice whenever you've washed your face whether it's really clean or not. If it is not, maybe you should start considering using this nose strip as well! It takes out almost all your dirt! hehe ;p

Step 6: Clean off any residue and pat dry your skin and see the difference the strip has made to your nose after it has sucked all your dirt! No more whiteheads heading out! hehehe

Step 7: Apply the Pore Serum to "close" the pore! This serum will tighten up your pores after it has sucked all the black and white heads on your nose!

Step 8: You're done! hehe..

My review/comment: I like both products! Especially the Pore Stamping Serum. It tightens the pores and it's a non-greasy cream and lightweight, which is great! This pore filler refines, soothes and keeps my skin fresh after using it! ^__^ My nose area is much more smoother than before! And I like the texture it gives me after applying this serum! My nose felt soooo much smoother! No more little bumps on my nose! And the Blackhead Suction strip on the other hand, is very easy to use. And realllllyyy sucks all the dirt on your nose! My nose area is much more cleaner, and there is no irritation at all to my skin. LOVED THIS PRODUCT!
I am so going to use this nose pack regularly for the next few weeks and months! I hope to see a hugeeeee reduction on my whiteheads and blackheads and less oil sebum on my nose!

For the Coffee Lover like me...

Recently, we got a new coffee maker in our kitchen. Thanks to daddy! ^__^

It's from Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.

When daddy brought it home about two months ago...I was so excited! hehe.. Cuz for a coffee lover like me, this coffee maker is just soooo awesome! Why? Because brewing coffee is super easy now! I'm not talking like those instant-coffee-easy, you know. That's not coffee, that's sugar! LOL. (But yeah, those instant coffees contain mostly sugar than coffee!)

I'm talking about the traditional brewing coffee machine. It's pretty time consuming, right? With all that preparing, grinding, brewing etc etc...Just for a real cuppa coffee for each morning! If you're late to work or something..you gonna miss your morning coffee! Because preparing it alone takes more than 10 minutes! Pfft. And that's not including preparing your meal! Hmm.. No wonder people these days like to drink instant coffee instead of the real ones! hehe

Especially if they're using the French Press type. Takes forever to make one. Heh. Okayy...I'm exagerating. But still, to compare that one with the one that I have in my kitchen now.. well of course mine wins! hehe.. Even the normal coffee machine too, you have to put the coffee filter first..then pour some coffee in it..then to grind the coffee and whatnot.. all that takes a bit of your time, right? hehe..

But with this CBTL machine, It's really super super easy! And what's best is that you get the real taste of coffee in less than 1 minute! Wanna see how I brew my coffee? hehe

Here's how!

The coffee for this CBTL machine, are in this form.

They call this as capsule. So each capsule is for one cup. They have coffee and tea capsules. With a variety of flavors to choose from.. Like Italian, Espresso, Viennese, Continental, Premium, French, etc etc..just to name a few! This is the Starter Pack. 12 capsules altogether. They have all flavors in here. Including the tea capsules as well. Price: RM 30. You can view here, to know more about the flavors they have

If you're already know the kind of coffee you like, you don't need to buy the Starter Pack. You can just buy this pack. Each flavor has 10 capsules per pack. So you can make 10 cups of coffee. Price per box: RM 21 for 10 capsules

At the back of the Starter Pack, has the coffee names and brief info about the coffee. Also, it has the Roast Indication as well. The darker/stronger the coffee, the more black bullet shown.

For today, I chose the House Brew. It has 3 bullets...which I think not so strong, maybe? It says here: Light-bodied with a subtle fruity aroma and a buttery finish. Mmm...that sounds delicious to me!

(My favourite are: Chai Tea, French Brew and Viennese Brew so far!)

Okay let's start brewing my coffee!

First, fill up the pot with cold water (I use Bio Aura water. Cuz it's cleaner! hehe)

Next, after you have filled up the pot with water, return the pot at the back of this machine. And take one capsule of your choice (mine, House Brew), and put it at the top part of the machine... Like so.

Just drop it here..

Very easy capsule insertion system, right? hehe..

So once you have placed the capsule in there, just close the lid using this silver handle..

And place your cup here, and choose the size of your coffee cup; small, medium or large.. And push the button

The moment you press the button, the coffee will start pouring into your cup!

Mmmm....smells great!

And that's it! Your coffee is almost done!

After it's done, you can take out the used capsule in this large capsule drawer and throw it away! The capsule drawer can hold up to 10 used capsules..

Just add some creamer or sugar if you like! ^__^

Let's Age Gracefully! :)

Just had a talk with mommy about a W and M topic.. But somehow, the topic drifted to a beauty topic as I can't help looking at my mom's great skin and asked her about beauty things...

She just gave me a few tips, and I hope to follow her footsteps.. Insha Allah..

Anyways, I'm nearly reaching the age of 25, and that's next year actually..where that's like the turning point/starting point of you really entering the adulthood... And by saying "adult", the body/skin will start to show visible signs of aging... starting that age! So yeah...I'm kinda freaking out a bit here.. Heee

Do I look like my age? Or I look older? I guess I think I know your answer..tskk =/

Anyway I once heard someone told me, the moment you reach 25 and over, the number is going to increase soooo fast, and before you know it, you're already in your 30s, 40s, 50s and so on and looking like a grandma already! Erk. Really? I thought every year has 365 days? How come after 25, the number will rise very quick larr?? heh =P

Although actually, I think age is just a number, as I still feel the same way like last time, and nothing had changed for me for the past years...
But my friends who are much older than me used to say this to me,

"Well..I stop counting the moment I reached 25",

"I'm always 26, whenever people asked my age. Haha!" (and she's 31 now, and it still the same number every year! LOL),

"I asked my friends not to put more than 24 candles on my birthday cake, each year!"

.....and some other statements that were trying to declare that they were not that old! hehe.. They are all still in denial I guess. teeheee.. And that made me think, hmm....is being older really that sucks, that you had to lie your age every time? =/

Oh well.. I guess it is! Hair falls. Grey hairs. Baldness. Sagging skin. Pigmentations. Facial lines. Wrinkles on your neck. Wrinkles on your hands. Wrinkles on your face. Crows feet at the eye area. Dark circles. Eye bags. Feeling lethargy all the time. And all the ugly things! Eeeekk.

Oh no.. All those sound so scary! No wonder being old sucks! =(

But we all know that getting older and aging skin is inevitable. Because no matter how well you've taken care of yourself, wrinkles will eventually make their way onto your pretty face! And it's just a matter of time, whether the signs of aging appear early on the skin, or slower..

So that's why my mom always remind me to start early in my "anti-aging" programme, as she said, being old/older is a definite thing in life, but we could make the aging process slower, at least! And I guess it's true! She's been practising that mantra until now! She started taking care of her skin/body ever since she was 24! Pills, potions, lotions, creams, drinks, supplements, powder thingy..and so on! And that's why, she's still look like she's in her 30s (some even say 20s! - according to what she wears) even though she's almost 55 now! Woww...you rock, mama! hehe O_o
I am sooo going to follow my mom's footsteps and age gracefully like her! ^__^

So let's start by taking supplements like these!

I hope I would still look young even when I'm already 50! Wrinkles, please go away! hehee ;p

I have a Salvatore Ferragamo handbag for sale!

It's a brand new bag. But I've never used it although I had it for quite some time now.. I'm letting it go because I have a few black bags already..

My New Year's Eve

So I didn't go anywhere on new year's eve.

Oh well.. I'm not the type that have to celebrate these kinda things. It'd be fun if I do, but it'll be okay if I don't as well. I prefer not to, actually. As there'll be a lot of people, and I hate crowds, also, the parking is going to be a pain in the arse, and traffic jam everywhere...and food or parking or whatever would be slightly expensive during this date. Unless if you want to take me out and drive me somewhere, then..it would be an okay thing for me..hehe..

Cuz... why bother with all that when you can just chill at home, and wait until tomorrow or the next day to go out! haha

Well..I just don't celebrate. I don't see any point, to celebrate it unless if it's with my closest friends or something you know, doing something fun and memorable. Plus, I thought we have fireworks each time we have a festival here in Malaysia or anywhere in the world lahh.. So...what's so special/amazing about that? LOL. I mean...it's something that is quite common now.. Some people even propose to the girlfriend with fireworks too! So...yeah. Fireworks are not something that is special anymore... To me, at least. heheh. So why bother bersesak-sesak just to see some fireworks? heh. Well..I guess it's the countdown yang the best part kot. Ahh...I dunno. Whatever.

Anyway, on my new year's eve, all I did was watching movie all day and night and online too! Same old, same old activity! hehe..

Anyway... I watched this!

Cried a bit. The father-daughter part, and the part where Halle Berry and his partner videochatted on new year's eve, and the part when Bon Jovi wants to get back with Katherine Heighl again..

So sweet. =)

My Little Victorian-Themed Blogniversary Tea Party

I know it has been over 2 months already since the blogniversary party. Sorry peeps! Procrastinate. Yes, that's the suitable word for me! haha. I've been delaying and delaying to do the post, until I was really busy with work, business, holidays and some plannings, that I got no time to choose and edit the pics and update here some more, until the year has coming to an end already, and there is still NO UPDATE on this! Pfft. I feel so bad. I'm such a terrible blogger =/

Seriously, if you look at my organizer, you'll be surprised just how many things I want to write, share and update here, but I just never got enough time to do it, just yet! T____T

Ugh. I hate that =/

If only I have all the energy and time to do all that! My blog would be so much fun then.....right? And you guys would love me, right? LOL. Yeah Wani, that's like so trueee... =_______='
But really, I wonder how do those bloggers update their blog every day??!! Some even every few hours??! WOW. These people really amazed me. It's either they don't have an outside life/world, or simply because blogging is their fulltime JOB! hehe..

Anyway, so here I am. Writing on the little event that I had last time. But before I started to membebel on that, let me just let y'all know how and why I did all this... And also, let me warn you, this post contain a lot of photos. 80++ pics to be exact! I just don't know which ones to omit anymore from that 350 pics that I have! Heee.. ;p

So anyways.. Here it is!

Well, I've been blogging only for about 3 years now (almost 4 actually, this coming March), and throughout this 3 years of (publicly) blogging... (before that it was a private blog since 2005. But that didn't really count, I think?) I've met a lot of awesome people and I had many opportunities/experiences... Although they are not that big, but I am thankful for all those, because initially I only blog to share little pieces of my life here, just for my kids to see one day when their mommy was young. LOL. But now, blogging is not just some activities/hobby I do during my free time, but blogging has becoming part of my daily routine, activities..or I can say like a part time job! haha. And I kinda addicted to it already! (My butt will feel so itchy if I left this blog for far too long! I'd feel like there's something missing in my life! I'd feel like I owe the world or something! Haha. I knowww, so weird! ;p) But really, I'm glad that along the way, I've met new friends and such cool people.. =)

Anyway, so to show my appreciation to my lovely faithful readers, who has been reading and supporting this blog for years, I decided to make a little party for me to get to know y'all..and to be friends with you.. Cuz it's not fair when you guys je yang kenal I, but I didn't really know you guys! heheheh ;p So the party was to actually getting to know you guys, and make more friends here.. hehe

Well.. initially the plan was to do the party in end of July. That time, I was still so semangat to do all this. But that time it was like a week or two more to Ramadhan, and I had asked around, and most people said how about I do it after Ramadhan..during Raya or something..

So yeah. I waited until Ramadhan/August month ends...and then came Raya month which was in September. And you know, we Malaysians like to do Open House during the weekends in Raya month, right? So of course, I cannot do it during the weekends, what more during the weekdays. Everyone is working. So yeah.. September, gone.

So... I planned to do it in October instead. But October month was my boyfriend's birthday, and I had some plans too, during the first two weekends. And somehow...I ter-forgot about the party I mentioned earlier during the month..

But it was my boyfriend who reminded me that I have to do it jugak-jugak in that month. Because I have been delaying and postponing and holding off the party ever since July, and that time it was already almost reaching the end of October! So..like it or not, busy or not, well-planned or not, I have to make it happen no matter what!

And so....yeah, I did. Not well-planned, of course! tskk. I only decided to make the party, a week before October ends! And I did everything from booking, preparing the invitation, the doorgifts, the name cards, buying presents, etc etc only within 2 days! =/

I did not even get to like....think properly what to wear like usual - Normally, I would spend for like few minutes (or maybe hours), to think and try, and to decide what I should wear to a party.. But that time, I couldn't bother anymore about all those..because there are plenty of things to think. The place to book, the food to order, the invitation card, the doorgifts, the guests, etc etc!

Honestly, planning a party isn't as easy as it seems. This was my very very first time planning and hosting a party. I have never ever done anything like this. Not even a birthday party or whatever.. So of course, I was so nervous about it. Dah la jumpa orang yang saya tak kenal! So of course, I was feeling edgy and twitchy all the way! I was so afraid I would let people down...or maybe bore them to death at my party! tskk

Because you know, it was the FIRST TIME ever in my life doing a party. Dah la dengan orang tak kenal! huhuu.. So I don't know what to expect and how to do things, etc... Although I know it's not a big thing pun... Plus, the guests pun tak ramai yang I invited, but still... being a perfectionist that I am (so I was told), I couldn't help not to think about so many things....and fidgeting all day, worrying how it's gonna be, knowing that I have limited time to plan and do things.. =/

I was almost thisssss close, to postpone it again as I was really stressed doing everything alone in a short period of time... (Someone suddenly backed off, from helping me out. tskk- That's why I was so stressed handling everything alone! huhu) But I know I couldn't do that because I already announced it. And I do not want to postpone it to another month again and again. So yeah...still terus kan although I only had like 2-3 days to plan everything! Can you imagine how stressful I was? haha.. I did everything by myself from the day I announced the party, (planning, booking place, making cards, ordering balloons, cake, etc etc), with a little help from my boyfriend as well... He help me write the names and cut the cards.. (thank you dear! ^__^)

I bought some velvety wrappers, to make a personalized name card, and some Cindarella carriage boxes, some cards, etc...

I cut the wrappers into some little tea pots! ^__^

...and after that, I started making tea bags as well! hehe

...with strings too, to attach with the tea bags!

And next, I assembled the doorgifts..

At first, I wanted to give a girlie gift like...a lipgloss for example, for each guest, but then..this cute box that I have, was a little too small for a lipgloss! - I bought the boxes in June, and that time I didn't think what to put in there just yet.. And when the time comes, I realized lipgloss can't fit in there! Pffft. So...I changed to some other girlie things instead... It was a mini nail colours from OPI.

So on each table of my guest...has their name, a lucky number tag, and also my little doorgifts..

Anyways, on the night before the party date (and that was like at 3 am in the morning! Only few hours away from the party), Aizat my brother, came to my room and rescue me and help me when he saw me being so stressful and mad at a few things/people. So the sweet brother came to help me with my things and made my life a bit easier... (thank youu!)

The next day (which was on the party day itself), he even called out his friends to help me out since a few people who promised to help me, has backed off all of a sudden. And that was a day before the party. Pffft =________='

So yeah, I am so thankful to all my little helpers: Sheila, Aizat, Azhar, Afiq and Naim! You guys rock! ^___^

So my little party was held at Smokehouse Cafe in Bangsar.. I love this place. So cosy! And so vintage-y!

Anyway... like I mentioned earlier, I did not know what should I put on although I was the one who set the theme! HAHAHA! It's just...I know, what to wear and the ideas and all, but I just don't have time to shop for new clothes or even think properly what to wear. hahaha.. So I just wear whatever I think that looks vintage-y, or victorian-y outfit that I have in my wardrobe! haha..

It was this!

I wore my sister's black blouse with a long bow (actually the bow is longer than that, but I wrapped some around my neck, since the blouse has quite a low cut neck.. and then I paired it up with my victorian-y green corset (which I wore it here last time) and a long A-line black skirt with lace.. and match it with my lace glove which I bought in Perth last time..

I wrapped my head with a scarf, and put on a ketayap on it, which I folded it and make it look like a pillbox hat, and clip it with a little hair accessories that has a net and some feathers..and attached it with a green hair piece as well, to match it with my green corset..

And since the nice Sheila wanted to help me out, I let her wear all my stuff and made her up! hehe.. I don't have a little sister, and I've always wanting to dress up someone, and let me do and choose everything.. And that day.. I did! I made her up from top to toe! From hair, make up, clothes and shoes! -I chose everything! hehehe.. It was fun! I feel like I have a live Barbie. LOL ;p

So I gave her my lace dress and pair it up with my lace glove, my huge pearl necklaces which I wore here, and also a little hair clip for her.. And then, I put on some make up for her... And asked her to wear the lace shoes to match with the whole outfit..

.....and she looked absolutely stunning! (She's not the type that likes all the make up/girly girl stuff (yet. heheh), so when she wears like this... she looked so fab! ^__^)

All the boys there (her friends), were like... OMG, is this Sheila? hehehe. (in a good way of course) Bcuz she's so pretty! ;)

Anyway, enough about the outfits.. Now on to the party..

About less than an hour before the party starts..all of Aizat's friends helped me to set the place..the table, etc...

They were so nice, and asked me to sit somewhere else - because probably they couldn't stand just how bad I was so nervous that maybe it has annoyed them. LOL. So they said, I don't have to do anything..and just sit somewhere else and shut my mouth, and let them do everything.. haha..

Azhar and Afiq putting all the cookies I bought from Crabtree & Evelyn and Famous Amos, and chocs from Marks & Spencer, Leonidas and Ferrero Rocher into the plates...

Among the 15 people I invited, Zuen was the first few who came early!

Pfffft ;p Actually, one of the reasons I did this party/getting to know y'all, was to break out of this fear/shy thing in me.. And I dunno whether it's working or not! hahaha

Being a girly girl who loves all things pretty, of course being able to feel beautiful inside out is kinda like my mission and dream. Well…I think that IS every woman’s dream..right?

But I don’t know whether it is because of lately I was so stressed with things in my life (work and some other stuff), or because I always have lack of sleep (and especially during the past two months), or it’s because of me “falling in love” (I know, as ridiculous as it sounds, but this was mom’s theory of “kuat berangan bila bercinta” or something like that - Don’t know what that really means actually, as I didn’t have any berangan moments, except for the berangan to have my own shoe line. LOL. So yeah, I don’t really know what my mom meant when she said that and what does falling in love have to do with thisss..haha) or maybe it just so happened that I’m having some weird hormonal changes at this stage of my life or something like that or whatever la..

But……….seriously, lately my skin condition has becoming ermm…how do I say this….? Err…Well, not that smooth like last time anymore, I suppose? tsk.

Yes. You guessed it right. It was ACNE problem.

All of a sudden, I got acne on my face. I used to have a smooth skin. I don’t have skin problem at all during my teenage years, and even when I’m in this early 20s.. Except for those little zits that come to visit me every now and then and especially during that time of the month.

But about a month or two ago, I don’t know whyyy, suddenly I had terrible acne on my skin. The acne was so horrible, until everyone who knows me said so..and asked me why, what happened to me. And it made me even more stress about it, when most of them were so “concern” or should I say making fun of me. Tskk. =/

I was so stressed about that, and probably that was the reason why the acne keeps on popping out. And not just that, my skin also looked tired and dull with all that scars and dark spots. And I just can’t stop thinking, just how many more pimples would pop out from my poor skin and when will I have bright, radiant, happy skin again. Sobs.

This was taken in the last week of November. Before that it’s like 6-8 pimples on each cheek! And left a lot of scars as well! But in this pic, the pimple has popped out a bit slower at this time… - But it’s still quite a lot to me, cuz I used to have a clear skin.. Not like that.. =/

And the thing that I hate the most is that I had to cover them up with make up, but you can still see it! – I really do not like the idea of depending on make up to look nice. For me, make up is supposed to just enhance your look, and not covering up your whole face with it and looked completely like a different person! Bcuz I prefer to have a glowing and radiant face/skin, naturally.

Not depending on make up! But I just can’t help it.. I can’t accept the fact that I had a lot of acne and marks and spots on my cheeks. And I looked…..SO. COMOT. =/

See…if you look closely, you can still see my scars (at the right cheek area) even with full, (quite heavy) make up on my face.. (although at this time, I don’t have pimples, but I had acne marks, and dark spots, but had to cover it with a lot of make up)

So anyway..I bought lotsa skincare that time, from high ends to the really cheap ones.. But nothing seems to REALLY work. I mean like, really vanish everrrryyything, the scars, the acne pus, the bumps and what not.. And give me back my skin that I used to have.

Well…I would say, most of the products I have used, are such a bummer. Nothing has really really worked for me. All those products did to my face was only making it so dry instead of banishing all the unnecessary ugly bumps and scars on my face! And somehow, even after using acne medications and whatnot, the acne was still so strong and still popping out! And the scars are still there..even though I put creams or oil for scars and all that… But nothing seems to make them go away from my life! So I was realllllly sad. And stressed out. I did everything that I could..and I don’t know what else should I do.

But then bit by bit, as time goes by, the acne is slowly healed…But only left ugly marks and dark spots. Probably after I bought this miracle essence last 2 weeks, the acne stops coming out especially after I have gone back from Switzerland. The dry and cold weather somehow, made my skin a bit better, after I was back in KL. No more pimples popping out so far. So Alhamdullilah for that. =)

But I still have a few acne marks and some dark spots on my skin.. So I still really need something that could at least lighten them, if it can’t fade them away at the moment..

So, my skincare routine would be: - Cleansing (I use a Gentle Cleanser), and then Toning (a hydrating toner) , and followed by applying a hydrating + whitening essence, and then eye cream for dark circles, and lastly..a whitening/brightening moisturizer...

But just recently, I added a new product in my routine to help make the essence that I’m using much more effective and give me faster result!

Recently, L’Oreal has launched their new Pre-Essence that’s from a range called Youth Code..which I found out that they claimed that this Youth Code Pre Essence acts like an amplifier, to help absorb the benefits of all those skincare products that I use even more, and 5x faster!

So I did a little wrapping, cutting, gluing, assembling and stuff like that, last few weeks..And here's some pics of them..

Bought some red mahjong paper, A1 coloured cardboards, and some pink cards! All of these were cut and done with my own hands! :)

I bought some cardboards in A1 size, in a few colours. To attach the flower corsage that has the same colour hue, with the same colour of the card! hehe. Last time I dreamt of having a shoe line of my own and make the shoe boxes colour, same as the color of the shoe inside! But now, let's start with doing this first! hehee.

Anyway, my initial plan was to make the card looks like a flower with five petals. But I ended up doing only four petals as it was kinda hard to do it! So many lekuk! Heeee. Plus, it was kinda hard to cut the shape on the cardboard! It's too thick, and too hard! (There weren't any other types of hard material for papers/cards that were sold at the place I went! >_<)

So after I've been cutting hundreds of pieces of that thing with the help from my Bibik as well... I drew an outline of the weird looking flower petal card at the back & front of each one of them.. My dad saw these..and thought I bought them. hehe. I said no, I bought a big cardboard, and cut each one of this! My brother heard this, and he went like... "Whaaaat? Gila semangat. O_o". haha. Yes, I am. ^_^

...and wrote a little something, so it won't look so plain! hehe

This picture was taken during the fourth batch that I did...

I wrote and did the same thing over and over again..and by that time/week, my hand couldn't tahan anymore, and I couldn't do it alone. Felt like a zombie, didn't sleep for a few days! haha... So there's someone came to the rescue to help me with hundreds of my orders! Thank youuuuuu! ^_^

At first my helper said, just photocopy the thank you note since I'm writing the same sentence over and over again...and it saves time. I know thattt, but I want it to be a little bit personal. So yes..I wrote each one of it! hehe

I assigned him to write all the address.. while I wrote the thank you note..

....and while I was busy writing them, he curik one of my card, and wrote something..and placed it back at the stack of that unwritten pink cards....quietly.

I was too focused writing, didn't even realized it was there in front of me! haha.. After a good 2 minutes, I just realized it! And went... "Awwwww. Really? That's so cute!" hehe ;p

(Ok. You guys can puke now ;p)

Back at home, Bibik helped me assembling the boxes and strings to tie each one of it..

And she also helped me cut the red mahjong paper I bought, and place it in each of the boxes..

...while me arranged and placed the order accordingly

Oh...and I also wrote a little "invoice" for them as well at the back of the thank you note! hehe

I'm glad I received some happy and satisfied customers. Will open orders again soon. But now...let me breathe a bit! hehe (Probably this coming week I will post it here! Stay tune!)

A Beautiful Wedding! :)

I'm almost reaching to the mid twenties.. and at this age, you can see a lot of your friends is either getting engaged, has engaged, getting married or..already married and have kids! hehe... Oh, how time flies! I can't believe I'm at this stage now. haha.. I still feel like a little kid! ;p Now..I can see a lot of my friends are engaged or married already! O_o
I guess we all grown up now, huh? Hmm..I still remember, when I was a little kid, I always thought being a grown up would feel different. Like, we're a different person.. haha.. But to me, it just feels like nothing has changed that much. But oh...I'm old now! ;p

Hmm..and later, the next thing I know, my kids already gone to college and start dating guys/girls already and then I'm going to plan their wedding pulak! Erkk. Okayy..that is too far now. hahaha.. ;p

Anyways..so about two weeks ago, I went to my friend's wedding held at her house, in Setiawangsa. She's my uni friend. Her name is Zarina. And oh myy....she looked absolutely stunning on her big day! (Duhh...she always look fab, pun! hehe) And her wedding was so beautiful! I loveeee all the deco and everything! It was so perfect, so beautiful! Especially the pelamin or I dunno what do they call that thing! hehe.. Tapi memang cantik sangat! Love it to bits! ;)

FV First Birthday Bash!

Okay...this is a little overdue (you know whyyy kan? heh). So am not gonna bebel much on this. Just some pictures to share, on this lovely event! ;)

So I went to the Fashion Valet first birthday bash event last two weeks with Azhar and my sister... It was such a lovely event with so many super gorgeous, stylo (and not to mention, KURUS) ladies! I feel so err... ~~fat~~ chubby when seeing those skinny models...and walked pass them.. hahaha ;p
Oh yeah..did I mention that this event was collaborated with Miss Universe Malaysia, too? So yeah, a lot of models there! ;)

So anyway... I didn't know what to wear at first.. I know, this would definitely gonna be a stylish event. And everyone must have dressed up for it! And ever since I ter-put on weight these days (haha. yes, TER ;p), my mood to dress up like last time has decreased a little. huhuu... So everytime there's a fashion event to attend, I'll be like..."Oh my god...what to wear...what to wear!" Hahaha... Girls! *rolling eyes* ;p

Since I was a bit caught up with things that week, so I got no time to think what fancy outfit to wear (yes, I have to think (and try a few) first...before wearing it. Because it'd be easier to search and dive in my closet, and terus pakai, rather than taking out one by one and see if it still fit me, or if it looks okay still.. hehee ;p)

So anyways...my first try was a really simple grey top, but I styled it up with my scarf, making it look like a turban. Like so....

But after trying a few tops that I had in mind earlier, I decided not to wear this kind of style as it wasn't that comfortable, and I do not want to wear something that's not comfy... plus, I was running out of time, at that moment. So no time to think of any fashionable style anymore, or I'll be fashionably late to the event! haha. ;p

So....I decided to just wear my usual normal top, and scarf... and play along with my accessories! Like this...like what you've seen before...

Okay...anyway, upon arriving...the sweet Vivy greeted me and asked me to signed the guest list, then gave me the goodie bag... Then her sister ushered me to my seat..

We got the second row seats! Yeay! ^_^

The Miss Universe Malaysia girls were sitting in front of us, and I could smell their hair too! LOL

So...before the event started, we had some food, chit chat a little with the faces I know...like Nona, Zuen, Michelle...and umm...who else? Hmm..forgot! hehee.. And then, take some photos like usual! ;)

Beauty Review: Leaders Clinic Masks!

I have received some Leaders Clinic Ampoule Masks from Hansaegee Nature a couple of weeks ago to try and review it, but since I was too busy lately.. I can't find the time to try them on and what more to update my blog! tskk. So they just sit there quietly in that little drawer I have, waiting for me to try them on!

I know...I left you guys for quite some time here - some even private messaged me on Facebook, asking me what happened to me, am I ok or not! haha. So sweet... But I'm fine darling..it's just I was so busy with things.. - I do wonder how those (busy) bloggers + working ladies have all the time in the world to update their blog for every single day??! O_o Phewww... I'm just so amazed with you guys! hehe..

So anyway, it’s time for the review now! Yeayy! ^_^

Mmm...so last two weeks was the busiest week I ever had in my life. Just imagine, trying to do 3 or 4 different type of work at a time! Huh..Very tiring I tell you! There has been days that I only slept for 2 to 3 hours, back to back. And some day, I didn't sleep at all! Erk... Not good, not good! >_<

My time has been fully utilized with work, work and workkkk... And I only take some breaks for pee, eat, sleep, and breathe. LOL ;p So yes...you guessed it right; I look (and feel) like crap these days with that kind of lifestyle I had! tsk. There were too much of lacking in me: SLEEP.. REST....WATER... MOISTURIZER.....and my food intake! Everything was upside down, and imbalance! T_T

So now I need to start taking care of myself again because my body has starting to tell me that something is wrong somewhere! Even someone else notices that too! Erkk...

But despite being busy all week, doing a bit of accounting la, a bit of editing la...writing some more, etc etc..and especially doing all the wrapping/assembling thingy of those flower corsages that u girls ordered from me, it was indeed a fun week I had! hehehe ;) Seriously, I had fun assembling the flowers and whatnot..

So.. Okay...enough of me membebel-ing about my week. LOL. Now...what do I do when I think and feel that I look like crap?? Well, I started with rescuing my face! (In spite of me eating right and getting more sleep! - As that is the most important thing you must do first! hehe)

Yup. I am not kidding when I say it made my skin felt softer and soothed! - I had some little pimples growing on my face last week, and it was a bit itchy and red before. But after using this Tea Tree Healing Solution Essential Mask, it kinda made it less itchy a bit... But of course, those little pimples are still there. You can't make it disappear overnight, right? But at least, this mask has helped to soothe it a bit.. So thanks Leaders Clinic! hehe

Anyway.. this mask is really different from all the sheet masks that I've tried before! It's really realllllllyy super thin and light! Once you opened up the mask, you will find the mask is soaked in the serum. You can really see that it is really soaking wet! - And there is still more serum left in the packet, which you can use some more on your face after you have removed the mask, as a moisturizer! :)

(Hey..do you like my polka dot toilet seat cover? It's cute, ain't it? hehe ;p)

See that?! It is soooo soaked up! And so thin! Leaders Clinic Masks are made of ultra thin silk cellulose material and you can see it in the above picture. It’s really thin and yet, it won’t tear easily like some! I love the material of this mask! It is definitely not like the usual sheet mask, really! Their masks fit nicely on the face and it would stick on snugly on the skin! And what's cool is that, the skin can still breathe with the mask on! ^_^

Why is this mask different than the other sheet masks? It's because this ampoule masks contain one ampoule per mask. Yes, each mask contains an entire bottle of concentrated ampoule! Now..that's a lot!! - Ampoule is highly concentrated essence. So it is more concentrated than a serum and has to be kept in a glass container.. it's like a very and highly concentrated thingy...

Secondly, the material is different. They used a silk cellulose sheet, which makes sure that the face is absorbing most of the essence/ampoules, and not the mask!

It also allows your skin to breathe like a ‘second skin’ to help it absorb whatever is inside the pack, faster and efficiently! ^_^

I have tried quite a variety of sheet masks. And I would rate Leaders Clinic Mask a 4.5 stars out of 5! This is mainly because I really like the material of the sheet, (like I mentioned, they're using a silk cellulose sheet) and how it fits nicely on my skin. Plus, the amount of serum/essence/ampoules or whatever they called, in each pack is really a lot! It's like there's more content than mask. hehe. Because there was some serum dripping off when I took the mask out of the pack! And it was a wee bit hard to unfold the mask when I took it out from the pack, cuz it was sticking with each other as it was too wet with the essence/ampoule! xD

Put this mask on... Oh, it fits perfectly and snugly on my face! ;)

Feels so good..and very nice!

See that... There's only little parts on the skin that has air. Especially the sides of the mask..normally other sheet masks that I tried before doesn’t really stick on well. So this one..is like an airtight mask, I would say! haha - The mask has covered and sealed my face entirely! I like!

Skin is glowing and soft after usage!

Just a tip to share with you girls: For sheets masks that you have, you can put the masks in the fridge at least an hour before you start using it. Bcuz it’s really nice to mask your face with a cold sheet mask! So soothing! (Maybe after this...you could just store all your masks in the fridge for later use!)

Of Bertukang, Berjahit and..a little Menyusun kind of Activities! hehe

I had a bit of hectic week, last week and especially this week, as I'm trying to get everything done as soon as possible. (Sorry if some you did't get my reply yet. I will email you some time later today! - I'm on a little 'break' during the weekends! hehe... So will reply later kay, inshaallah!)

So anyway...here is what I did last week!

And lastly, I did a little menyusun work! hehe. For now, I'm only done with two parts.. My jewelry armoire, and my beauty space! ^_^

Remember last few months, I did a post on my beauty area....? Well, now that I have these little white compartments.. my beauty counter now looks a bit different! (Still messy, though! haha - Cuz I got a lot of stuff! I don't know how to make it look more neat/organized than that! haha!) Anyways... now that I have these white compartments,, it'd be easier for me to categorize my items and know which is which...and what, where, etc! hehe

Hmm..... Well, I would love to own a dressing table (you know the one with big, lovely mirror and a spacious space to put all your beauty stuff..and not to forget a matching stool too, to complement the table. But sadly, I don't have one. At least not yet! hehe ;p

But oh well, I had this room when I was just turning 15 year old.. And what did I know about make up that time? I didn't know that a ~~girl~~ lady needs a lot of space just for her beauty stuff! And I didn't know I would be needing a lot of serums, a lot of brushes, and a lot of colors these days! If I knew just how much space I needed, just for my beauty stuff nowadays, I'd definitely ask for a tiny bed 10 years ago, so I have a lot of space in the room..NOW! hahaha ;p

So anyway... I told Adeline, the interior designer of the house that time, that I don't need a dressing table because I would just store ALL (which that time, only include: a toner, a moisturizer and a baby powder! ;p) my beauty stuff in the cupboard that she designed which has some stacks and little compartments.. So thattttt 15 year old nerdy girl asked for a spacious STUDYING TABLE instead! And I didn't even study there! I studied downstairs! Not in my room... Pffffft.

So you know la..the table/cabinet that she designed that time was meant to put computer or stacks of books, some stationaries area, etc etc - well you know la, all studying related kind of things! So now that I'm a bit ermmm.... well... grown up.. (Oh, I hate the sound! ;p), I kinda realized...that I do NEED a beauty space! And I don't mean storing them in the cupboard! That's not what I call "space".. That's a "store"! ;p

So yeah, after I graduated last year, bit by bit I changed the way my room looks like... So now I have a little space for all of my things that I love so much... No more trashing my stuff not according to type! hehe ;p - Now I have belt area, some make-up bag space, a little perfume drawer, a love dovey kind of things, letters, handbag compartments, and so on! Everything I categorized them and store them in their own little space... (haven't finish organizing every single little thing, though. I'm quite a detail person..so I like keeping things based on the type, size/color, etc... and organized them accordingly..)

Anyways... despite arranging them according to type or what not, I still feel that the items in my room are not that organized.. Because they are all not in the same area... I mean like, some of them, had to share "the area" with some of my baju! heh.. ;p Like my perfume drawer...it is situated some where near my clothes! (I think perfume should be stored somewhere near your dressing table...? ) Oh...It'd be so cool if I have my own little closet where I store all my accessories on one side, and then beauty area is in the other part of the room, and then this and that stuff is in this one particular area...etc! So organized and soooo cool!!! Right??! Oh..best nyeeeee. That is what every girl's dream of having kannn?

So anyways... (LOL. Cerita I tiba-tiba meleret panjang pulakkk. haha ;p), since I don't have a dressing table, I changed my studying table into a beauty counter, and placed all the pretty things that I need on it! ^_^

Like so...

Okay...maybe you girls can't see what's on it... So let's break it down one by one, since I always get a request to show what's on my dressing table.. So here it is! ;)

At the left side of the table/compartment, I put the Stila cans that I bought last time..and store all my brushes, some mascaras, eyeliners, etc, and all things that's in a tube/pencil..

Then, at the back of it, there's all my color palettes, blushers, powders, and lippies product..

Next.... Beside my make up tools/brushes area, I put my skincare stuff in this one little compartment.. So everything is in here.. My toner, serum, moisturizer, day/night creams, eye creams, pimple gels...etc!

Then, at the side of the skincare area, I put this little make up thingy... Here is where I store all my BB creams, tinted moisturizers, make-up bases, foundations, concealers, skin highlighters/illuminators, bronzer, and a little eye palettes as well..

And next to it, I put aside some deodorants, facial sprays, baby powder, etc

Then, on this part, I put all my Q tips, facial cottons, facial tissues, facial wipes, cotton buds, nail polish removers, make-up sponges, etc..

....and on top of it, I put a board where I stick all the things I like! And I also put some Godiva chocs, and some marshmallows and candies at the corner of the board, just in case I feel like eating sweet things..hehe

And at the bottom part of the rack, I put an extra vanity make-up mirror for easier application of my make up (it magnifies 5X than the true image, which makes so easy to apply the eye make up! ^_^), and then I also put that little drawers which I got from Robinsson, and place all my facial & eye mask sheets, some nail polishes, hand creams, those miniature skincare samples that I got from beauty counters, and all the little things I need...

And in front of it, I put some miscellaneous items like contact lenses, hair clips, hair bands, pins, nail stuff, and a little trash can - Yes, that cute Stila can, is my little dust bin! hehe.. (I only throw tissues and cottons inside it! ;p)

Then I have this area... which I put mostly hair and body products..

These are the pretty bottles of perfumes that I have...which make such a cute and girly table display! ^_^

...and these are all my pink products! Most of it are hair products, from Toni & Guy, Kao Liese, Clairol, The Body Shop, Schwarzkopf, etc! And also, I have here..some body products from Fcuk, Victoria Secret, Lancome, Ralph Lauren, CK, Anna Sui..etc which most of them I got it for free, all from those perfume sets! ^_^

Then over here, are the body products.. (and a bit of hair products too..). Here I have body oil, body lotions, body sprays, skin balm, body milk, body butter, massage oil, etc! Most of my body products are from Vaseline, L'Occitane and The Body Shop. I trust these brands very much! ^_^

Then over here, is where I store all my hair and nail tools. Yes, I have different kinds of hair brushes. I have the flat ones, the wooden type, the bristles type, etc! But...there is only ONE hair brush that I bought among these brushes that I got! haha. It is the black and red Betty Boop pretty hair brush! - Got it at Universal Studio. So cuteee! The rest...are all presents..which most of it is from The Body Shop..and others are from Vidal Sassoon, 101 Hair Care, Acca Kappa, etc...

(To be honest, I couldn't really differentiate between a cheap and a fancy/overpriced hair brush! They're all look/feel the same to me! haha. But thank you for giving me as gifts! ;p)

Oh ya...I almost forgot... The pink big box at the back there, is where I store all my falsies! I love collecting fake eye lashes for special events or whatever... So I keep them in there!

Then, at the corner side of the table, is where I put all my head pieces and flower corsages...

Okayy...let's move on to another things that I assembled (with the help from my brother and Azhar - thank you very much guys! ^_^) last weekend, which is a little area of the things that I need! Like........

...these!

A little space for my electrical items - facial sauna/steamer, hair dryer, and electric kettle, thermos, etc.

Here is a little serious area. heh.

It is where I stored all my essential items! Won't tell you what's in the box though..hehe..

But in the drawer, is where I put my medicines and supplements.. and a bit of tea bags..

Then over here is where I put my bling blings! ^_^

And here is where I stored all my pretty bangles ;)

And lastly...

This is my bedside table. I have books/novels... and some stuff to help me sleep.. Like a pillow spray/mist and an aromatherapy thingy..and also an earplug..

That's it! That is all that I did during the weekend! A lot of menyusun kind of activity, eh? hahaha... ;p
Ahh..what can I say, I just loveeee organizing my stuff! Like how I said in my previous post! Every now and then (when I have super extra time, that is), I would definitely tidy up my room... But only problem is, I always don't have time, and I have a lot of stuff as well - which actually, is quite a bit of a love-and-hate relationship kind of thing. haha. I mean I do love having a lot of stuff...but I also hate to kemas so many things and to think where to put this and that when's there's not much space left! >_<

Organizing things and keeping things nice and neat is fun, but well....when you have a lot of stuff, you gotta need extra, extra energy to clean the mess you made, (which looked like the room has just been hit by a tornado or something! haha..) So doing it alone sure does require a lot of time and energy - I refused to ask my maid to clean my room for me. I like to do it alone. If my maid knocks my door, and wanted to help me out...I would definitely halau her out and ask her not to help me at all... hahaha ;p Reason being cuz....well.. I'm a big girl now, kan..? So I can do stuff on my own. Plus, I don't really like people go through my stuff (not in a 'poyo' kind of way, but in a 'malu' kind of way! haha. Cuz I know I got such ridiculous things...and I don't like people to touch my stuff then straight away think that I'm crazy! hahahaha ;p
So unless you share the same interest as mine, then I would allow you to see, touch and go through all my stuff... and maybe take some, if you like! Really! hehe ;)

Oh well, actually I still haven't finish cleaning/tidying up my room! Now I'm doing my closet area! I just bought some rods to hang my clothes.. Hopefully it'll turn out nice! Bye! ;)

Driving Experience of the New Toyota Corolla Altis!

I was invited to attend the Toyota Corolla Altis event on the Saturday, 29th October, last time. Actually, I was a bit blur on what kind of event/activity I'll be experiencing. Little did I know, the event was more like the Amazing Race than the usual event that I have been invited to before! And mannnnnn, it was awesome!!!!

I have never join any race like this before in my entire life, (and when I watch the telly, and seeing people entering this kind of contest, it gets me excited!) I've always wanted to join, and now that I've joined, it was so fun, I tell you! Running against time, racing against the other team, and cracking your head up thinking about the clues, answers and what not! What an experience!

So anyway, here is my story on the experience of driving the Toyota Corolla Altis! Read on! ^_^

It was held at the Toyota showroom in Section 19 in PJ.

At 10 am, they started giving the briefing about the car and the contest, etc...

That's my team. The Black team!

So they gave me this bag, inside there's a pen, a Toyota Corolla Altis brochure, a black Corolla Altis t-shirt, and umm...what else... can't remember if there's anything else..

Here's what I wore on that day.. A little white and turqoise. Do you like my little roses?? Order from me now! heheheh ^_^

So I changed to the black t-shirt they gave me...

.....and take a picture with my team!

I'm with Zaid and Sai Mat Kong

And this is the Red team! It's ShaolinTiger and the Kampung Boy, City Girl

Before the race started, they gave us an envelope with a Touch 'n Go card, some money, etc...

And then...the First Task begin!

He explained on what we should do...

The Black Team's car was the silver Corolla Altis, and the white one is for the Red Team..

We need to put as many boxes as we can in the trunk.. Each box has a number on it, ranking from number 1 to 5. Which the number 5, being on the biggest boxes and has the highest points.

So when he said, "1, 2, 3 Go!" we immediately ran to the car and grab the big boxes first...and arranged them accordingly within the given time period - 3 minutes, if I'm not mistaken.

And we managed to finish uploading the boxes less than 2 minutes!

My task was to search for the boxes and give it to Zaid, by the way. I grabbed the biggest boxes first, then the little ones were the last one to pick.. And Zaid and Saimat then arranged them accordingly..

.....and making sure that they can still close it without breaking the boxes, as damaged boxes will be rejected!

So...after we have finished the first task, we hopped on to our car, the silver Corolla Altis, and listened to the CD given in the car for the next tasks...

Oh hey, what a coincidence! Our plate number was BLK which stands for Black Team! hehehe ;)

So...let's begin our journey!!

These are all provided by them for each tasks...

...and this too! It's a sandwich for breakfast! Thank youuu Toyota and err...Simply Sandwiches! It's really yummy!

While the boys sat in front and thinking about the places for the tasks...I sat comfortably at the back of this Corolla Altis, munching on my yummy sandwich! ;)

So anyway, we hit the Play button and here's what the lady in the CD player said;

"Hello there bloggers! Hope you enjoyed your breakfast, and congratulations with the completion of your first task. Bet you didn’t know just how much one can pack in the trunk of a Corolla Altis, ha? Let's proceed with Task 2. The next stop is located at Wisma Manulife. If you're not sure where that is, you can use the DVD Navigation System and search for Wisma Manulife, from the points of interest list. But remember for safety reasons, the car must be stopped before you can use the navigation system. Once there, you'll need to find a place inside, where one can cycle for hours and yet go nowhere, and attend classes that have nothing to do with reading or writing. To complete this task, take a photo of a fellow team mate at the location once you are there. Remember, points will be awarded for successful completion of the tasks. Please be back at the Section 19 Showroom by 3.20 pm. Have a safe journey ahead!"

Okay..task two completed! Next task....

"We’re now on to our Third Task. We hope you enjoying your drive in the Corolla Altis. To find the next location, here’s a clue. If David Beckham's wife had a restaurant she could probably name it this. It’s a place famous for their steaks, but they also serve up seafood and salads. Here's a hint: It's also located at Damansara Heights. So you need not go far from where you are. Just like your previous task, take a photo of your fellow team mate at the location when you get there.

It's Victoria Station, of course!

"On to the Fourth Task, bloggers. We’re at the halfway mark. You're probably getting a little hungry now. No worries, the next stop will help satiate that hunger. Our next location is a park in a village of Damansara Utama. You may order what you wish, but you must come as close to your RM 50 budget as possible without breaking it. You must keep the receipt. Enjoy your meal, but remember the clock is ticking!"

Can you guess where is it?

Of course it's the Village Park Restaurant in Uptown!! They have the awesomest Nasi Lemak everrrr!

Zaid ordering meals for us..and in the mean time, we kept on tweeting and tweeting, asking our followers to help us ReTweet our tweets to get more points! hehe

Anyways....we did not hear the intructions carefully..and bought the cheapest food available there. We lost points to the Red team because of that.. It's supposed to be: "You may order what you wish, but you must come as close to your RM 50 budget as possible without breaking it." Pfft. If I've heard it carefully, I would have ordered the yummy ayam goreng instead of ikan! hehe ;p

So..the next task is....

"Hey bloggers, we bet you're feeling satisfied after your lunch, and you could just take a nap in the comfortable cabin of the Corolla Altis. But your journey is not over as we’re moving on to Task 5. Listen up! The next task will be a refreshing one. It's located in a mall alongside the Sprint highway that has a name that reflects our tropical weather. In that mall, you need to find a spot that offers great smoothies to perk you up. Here’s another clue. The name of the next stop is derived from the word bubble. Once u find the place, buy something from them for each of your teammates. Remember to keep the receipt."

Of course it's the Tropicana Mall! I've only been here once...so I didn't know much about the stalls here in Tropicana Mall.. We almost wanted to buy the bubble tea from Each-A-Cup cafe as that is the only cafe there that sells bubble tea! Luckily, just before we ordered, Saimat who were waiting in the car called me up and said that it was this stall.....

It's BobaliciousSmoothies!

Yeah.. like she said, "derived from the word 'bubble'!" Haha..silly us! ;p

Overall, it was a realllly fun experience and driving this Corolla Altis is just so amazing! I love the dark interior, and the DVD-Audio Video Navigation system and also the Reverse Camera too! It made parking so easy!!!! And especially useful for a girl like me who doesn't really know how to estimate! hehe

Girls, do you like flowers like I do? :)

Ever since I wear the flower corsage on my shoulder, a lot of people has been asking me where I bought it! Oh well...it's a hand made piece actually, and now... I'm selling it! Yes, it is 100% hand-made! Cantik, kan? So girly! heheh.. ^_^

If you're a girly girl like me (or maybe not), and like pretty flowers as much as I do, then..do collect these girly rose buds and cluster it to your shoulder and make it as a fashion statement! Or just clip it on your hair, for a super girly look! ;)

This is a flower corsage which is made from a sateen silk material. It can be used for a hair clip or a brooch. The size varies with each one of them, because every piece is hand-made. (approximately each rose bud's diameter is about 10 to 12 cm). The price for each flower corsage is RM 45, excluding postage.
