Anyway.. So sorry I forgot to tell you guys who was the winner for the contest the other day..
(bcuz I haven't post the gift yet. So I figured it wouldn't be nice and appropriate to tell my readers who the winner is, and up till now I still couldn't find my sweet little time to post the gift to her...isk. It's like menipu or memberi harapan palsu, I think. heh.
Though I still feel that I gave her harapan palsu when I emailed her, and tell her that she was the winner n I'll be sending the gift soon. huhuhuh. isk.. So sorry, gurl!
But...erm..nevermind.. I did tell her that I may delayed the date of the delivery.eheh)

So sorry dear!!

But now that I'm free.. heh.. I will post to you by this week ok!!!

*Promise*

Oh....

And the winner is.......

Siti NoorHidayah Sha'ari!!!!

Woman and Pink

I was excited when I saw Miu's post about the new Kotex packaging for the overnight extra long wing pads! The box is soo nice and cute with its pink & black polka dots! So since this is that time of the month, I decided to purchase one too! (And some other things as well!).
Everything is pink! haha. Oh, that pink small case from Bloom is for me to store my pads, pantiliners, tissues and baby wipes for me to put it in my handbag! hehe

The price for the Kotex pad is RM10.40 @ 16 pads Overnight Extra Long Wing- 32cm. It's so cute you know. It's something different. It's like a little drawer. And I can use it to store my pads the next time I purchase my regular pads with it's boring plastic packaging. hehe..

Go and get it now girls!! It's limited edition! =)

the Shoe Issue

Shoes.

Trendy or Practicality?

Ladies, do you wear shoes because you have to (to protect your feet!), or because it looks good on you?

These days it’s more of a question of style and preference, I think.

Well, I wear shoes because I want to compliment my outfit of the day..and match it with my purse! hehe.

Sometimes I wear really uncomfortable shoes just because they look good! I don't wear shoes because of its practicality. I wear painful shoes all the time! I wear stilettos day in and day out. haha. What can I say, beauty is pain! (Sometimes I even got bunions and blisters on my feet and still force them to walk! And as a result, Radzique has to bear with my complaints all day long! haha. Sometimes I wish high heels are made for men too, so that they'd understand how painful in can be! hehe)

I personally think that shoes should be every woman's number one accessory. It's just such a pleasure when looking down at your feet and seeing something fabulous!

Anyways, do you ladies prefer to wear flat shoes or high heels?

I am a very petite girl. So I would definitely prefer high heeled shoes as it lifts me up a bit and gives me a better posture when I'm walking, despite the undeniable affects to my backbone and posture later on..huhu =P
But without them, I really really feel short and dumpy!! So when I'm in my heels, I feel more confident cuz not only do they elongate my leg, but they also help pull a more polished look and make flattering effect on my calves!

My most favourite black heels of all! It's reaaaallly comfy, I tell you! Seriously! I wear this one practically everywhere!! It's from Eclipse, btw. Oh, and that's my sister's foot over there! hehe =)

Those extra inches make for a sleeker silhouette, and ultimately the long-legged dream is achievable. Don't you like that?? hehe =)

So tell me ladies.. Which one of these (heels or flats) do you think is more preferable to you?

P/S: Mr. Blahnik says, "Shoes should be an investment, as we do spend all day on our feet. So why not add some class too! And you should go as high as you can!”

-both black patent leather shoes are from Bally.

Small is Tall, Tall is Small.

Was searching for Starbucks commercial ads for my Retail Management project..and I found this!

So cute yet confusing! hehe..

hehehe.. What a skilled video-maker!

She really can make great face expressions!! And the rise and fall of her voice pitch and intonations were perfect. She can be an actress la, don't you think? Dah la lawa! heh. =)

Oh by the way..for those who don't know or still confuse,
At Starbucks, the smallest size for their beverage is called Tall, and a medium one is Grande and the biggest size of all is called Venti.

Got it?

Sekian!

Confessions of a Shopaholic

I have read this Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella when the book first came out. I really enjoyed reading all the series. I read them many many times.

And.. Today, I've watched the movie.

Well..

Umm.. the movie was.....okay..

But, I would have liked the movie if I hadn’t read the fantastic series. The movie does not do the book any justice!! =(
Well... I already know that the movie isn't a scene-by-scene recreation of the book. Of course, films are very different from books. But..there were just so many scenes that were not even exist in the book!! =(
(I got a lil' bit upset for a moment..huhu)
Like, in the book, there are no talking mannequins beckoning and convincing Becky to shop, and Luke isn’t her boss, and her fantastic article isn’t about shoes and investment accounts!

Soo different lar.

Haihh.

I would have loved to see Sophie's own creation put up onto the screen word-for-word with not one syllable changed..but what to do.. the director of this movie- P.J Hogan somehow had to change some of the plotlines (which turned out to be so infuriating!). I really really hope the second one- Shopaholic Takes Manhattan would be so much more brilliant than this!

The only moment that I can remember that is exactly extracted from the novel was the very first scene in the book - where Becky sits at her desk and opens her credit card bills. - I got really excited! All those stories that I read and imagined..at last coming to life!! =)

Anyhow.. the movie's alright. I wouldn't recommend it to the fans of the book, though.

Oh btw, it's true what this writer said: Becky Bloomwood is the dumbed down version of Elle Woods in Legally Blonde.. Isla Fisher has downgraded Becky Bloomwood into a stereotypical, silly female wrapped in pink.
Hmmm... =(

For those of you who does not have any idea about this book that I'm talking about, you can read the synopsis:

“Becky Bloomwood has what most twenty-five-year-olds only dream of: a flat in London’s trendiest neighborhood, a troupe of glamorous socialite friends, and a closet brimming with the season’s must haves. The only trouble is, she can’t actually afford it - not any of it. Her job writing at Successful Savings magazine not only bores her to tears, it doesn’t pay much at all. Still, how can she resist that perfect pair of shoes? Or the divine silk blouse in the window of that ultra-trendy boutique? But lately Becky’s been chased by dismal letters from Visa and the Endwich Bank - letters with large red sums she can’t bear to read - and they’re getting ever harder to ignore. She tries cutting backs; she even tries making more money. But none of her efforts succeeds. Her only consolation is to buy herself something…just a little something…"

Oh, I'm soo glad I read the series cuz the stories are so much more better! (But I still love the movie.. if not bcuz of the cutest Isla Fisher!) hehe =)

P/s: That green Danny & George scarf wasn't anything like what I imagined it would be. Not that nice pun..huhu =P

P/ss: And that Hugh Dancy is sooooo handsome and cute lar!! He does suit to be Luke Brandon! I'm soo happy.. hehe

20s Going On 40

Someone asked me just now.. what do I want in this life.. So here's my answer to you.

I'm a very simple person. I do have dreams and goals in this life. But my dreams and goals are not as biggg as others'.

All I want in this life is just to be happy and be moderate a little bit here and there. Okay, it sounded a bit cliché. But seriously, I don't really dream and plan to become a billionaire or a workaholic or a CEO of a really really big company or something.. or whatever la..

Well.. This might sound a bit unambitious or whatever la, to some of you.. But I don't really care.. I know what I want.

hmm...

So... What do I want?? (More like vision and mission.. hehe)

By the time I reach 25:
I want to have a job that I love, that pays well.
I don't want to be surrounded by debts, debts and debts!
I want to buy car with my own money.
I hope to khatam Quran for the third time.
I want to travel around the world(ceh, macam banyak duit jer.. haha) with friends, before I get married.
I must already know how to cook! (or at least on the way.. hehe)
I want to buy or pay something big(but still dunno what..hehe) to my parents. (Maybe a car? but I can't afford to buy a Brabus lah.. haha =P )
I want to possess at least one Chanel handbag. haha =P
I want to get a figure that I always wanted.
I want to be fit and healthy.
I hope by that time, I am already matured and always think and act rationally.
I must already memorized Surah Yasin (now only half of the surah..isk)
I want to learn to draw and design shoes.
I want to be willing to work extra hours for me to earn more and more money for me to prepare for my dream wedding. (tapi jodoh di tangan Tuhan..maka saya pun tak tahu lah bila saya akan kawin..haha)
I want to be so in love! hahah =P

By the time I reach 30:
I hope I am already married. haha =P
And have such a perfect honeymoonsss with my dear hubby =)
And before I reach 30, I must already have at least one beautiful child. (or maybe two.. tapi rezeki semua Allah yang tentukan..)
I hope by that time, I have better job that pays really well.
I hope I can pursue my studies somewhere either domestic or undomestic. (preferably somewhere undomestic la.. like UK ke.. to do my masters. hehe. But I got to find the money first la.. heh)
I hope I'm already an expert at kitchen! haha =P
I want to always cook for my family. (Just like my mum. I want to make breakfast and dinner everyday for my family even though I have a fulltime job..)
I don't want to be surrounded by debts, debts and debts!
I want to still have a nice figure.. hehe
I want to live in a condo first..
I want to solat jemaah with my family or husband at least once a day.. (subuh or maghrib or isyak ke..)
I want to design/sell shoes as my part time job and as a hobby.. hehe =P
I want to travel every year with my family! (Just like my dad did..hehe)
I want to be really in love with my husband! hehe =)

By the time I reach 35:
I hope I have another baby. =)
I don't want to work extra hours anymore. Not because I'm lazy, but because I have to have time for my family. (I don't want to become a busy woman! I want to be like my mum! Always have time to look after my family yet she worked from 8am to 5pm! Super woman, I tell you!)
I don't want to be surrounded by debts, debts and debts!
I want to live in a bigger house..
I want to have a bigger car. (To squeez my children in! haha)
I want to solat jemaah with my family or husband at least once a day.. (subuh or maghrib or isyak ke..)
I want to design/sell shoes as my part time job..or maybe open a shoe store..And name it Shoezwany hehe =P
I want to travel every year with my family! (Just like my dad did..hehe)
I want to bring my parents to travel with my family, if I have extraaa money...hehe =P
I want to be a cool and a fabulous mom. haha
I want to be really in love with my husband! hehe =)

By the time I reach 40:
I still want the same thing.. =)

hmm..well... I can't think of anything else right now.. I don't really know what I want, 20 years from now.. This is just a girl who's in her early 20s talking..haha =P

Of course, this is just my dreams and goals in life.. (and there are some other things too, but I don't want to write it here..).
And so it is easily said than to be done.. but InsyaAllah, I will try to fulfill each and every word I said..if God permits me to do so.. =)

-Wassalam-

Just some random thoughts..

Hmm.. Do you believe everything happens for a reason? Well, I do.

Read this beautiful article, which I found by an unknown author (Kindly inform, if you know).

Every so often people come into your life and you know straight away that they were meant to be there; they serve some sort of purpose, teach you something or help you shape out who you are or who you want to turn into.

You never know who these special people may be; your neighbour, your work colleague, professor, school friend, or even a complete stranger who, when you lock eyes with them, you know that very moment that they will affect your life in some profound way.

And occasionally things happen to you and at the time they seem hideous, hurtful and unfair, but in reflection you realize that without overcoming these obstacles you would never have realized your true potential, strength, will power of the heart.

Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by means of good or bad luck. Illness, injury, bereavement, lost moments or true greatness and sheer stupidity all occur to test the limits of the soul. Without these small tests, if they be events, illnesses or relationships,
life would be like a smooth paved, straight, flat road to nowhere. Safe and comfortable, but monotonous and utterly meaningless.

The people you meet who shape your life and accomplishments and downfalls you experience, they are the ones who define who you are. Even the bad experience can be learned from... These lessons are the hardest and probably the most important ones.

If someone hurts you, betrays you, or breaks your heart...forgive them, for they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being cautious to whom you open your heart.

If someone loves you, love them back unconditionally, not only because they love you, but because you want to. These people are teaching you to love and opening your heart and eyes to things you would have never seen or felt without them.

Make every day matter. Be grateful for every moment and take from it everything that you possibly can, for you may never be able to experience it again.

Talk to people you have never talked to before, and actually listen, let yourself fall in love, break free and set your sights high. You can make of your life anything you wish. Create your own life and then go out and live it.
To be alive is not living, you produce this, so make it happen and make a new friend today!

**********

Well... Yes, I do believe that the people I've met throughout my life so far served some sort of purpose. There must be a reason why God let us meet each other. Like the author said, nothing happens by chance or by means of good or bad luck.
Hence, be grateful for every moment and take from it everything that you possibly can, for you may never be able to experience it again.

So.. whatever it is;

Whatever happens in your life, does happen for a reason!

I wish you all the best in your endeavors as well as struggles in life. Have a fighting spirit and never hesitate to get back in the struggle!

Do I have PMDD??!?

OH MY GOD..

I just read an article about PMS. And I think I have a severe PMS that is called PMDD. Erk. =(

PMS - premenstrual syndrome for a long time was thought of as being just an excuse for many women to help you feel calmer and more in touch with your true self.be irritable. PMS is a real condition with its own set of symptoms that are related to your upcoming period. Symptoms can range from mild to severe and can be vastly different for each woman.

PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder) - a severe form of PMS that includes severe symptoms of depression, anxiety, and irritability before menstruation begins. These symptoms must occur during the last week before menstruation starts. Approximately three to eight percent of menstruating women experience PMDD.

The Physical Symptoms Of PMS:

- Sore, tender breasts
(sometimes)

-Headache
(all the time)

-Abdominal bloating (the most common physical symptom) (yes and hating it!)

-Swelling of the extremities (sometimes)

The Mental Symptoms of PMS:

-Fatigue (the most common mental symptom) (all the time)

-Angry outbursts or mood swings
(errr... truly sorryyy!! isk.)

-Irritability (yes.)

-Confusion
(oh. i really really hate it when this happens!!! heesh.)

-Social withdrawal
(umm..yea maybe.)

Social or economic performance dysfunctional:

-Marriage or relationship issues, confirmed by the partner of the woman seeking diagnosis
(nope)

-Parenting problems (huh?)

-Decreased work or school performance or attendance (including being late) (erm...)

-Decrease in normal social activity
(yeahhhh)

-Legal issues
(no comment)

-Contemplating suicide
(oh..tak penah la pulak..huhu)

-Seeking medical attention for physical symptoms (maybe)

And according to the DSM-IV, the accepted diagnostic criteria for PMDD must include at least five of the following symptoms:

-Feeling sad, hopeless, or suicidal (feeling sad and hopeless yes.. suicidal nope)

-Severe feelings of stress, tension, or anxiety or having panic attacks
(hell yeah!)

-Mood swings that include bouts of crying (double hell yeah!)

-Constant irritability or anger that affects other people
(iskkk. I'm very irritated and angry and feel such rage inside over everything! Sometimes I feel like ripping other peoples face off for no reason. Sigh. The only solution for me not to outburst my anger, is to avoid seing those people that I'm furious with. And eventually I'll be okay.)

-Loss of interest in usual daily activities and relationships
(sometimes..)

-Problem with ability to concentrate or focus (sometimes)

-Fatigue or loss of normal energy (all the time)

-Food cravings or bingeing (Omg! I hate it when I have this binge-eating syndrome! I eat like a pig and then I'm gonna feel guilty with myself, and depression and self-condemnation! Ughh. What a weirdo! isk.)

Oh God. I have more than five. I am definitely having a PMDD. Which means, I'm not normal.

=(

But I read somewhere, that we can cure this PMDD or PMS by taking a vitamin B-complex everyday. It somehow helps you feel better and make you feel calmer and more in touch with your true self. I hope it works. I'm gonna start taking vitamins from now on.. hmm..

For more info, read here and here.

Tell me ladies.. Do you suffer from PMS/PMDD too?? isk.. I feel so weird and abnormal. =(

Holiday in the "Palace"

Last weekend (6-8 March), me and my girlfriends went to the Palace of the Golden Horses to have our 'royal' slumber party at the palace. haha =P

We just finished all of our yucky sucky midterm papers. It had been such a hectic week for us. So, it'd be great if I could quit from my real world and take my sweet lil' time to unwind even if it is just for a day. Hence, when our last paper had just finished, I asked for my dad if it is possible if he could sponser for our night stay at any hotel. And he said yes! Omg! hehe. I was so excited! He asked me how many nights I wanted to stay. So I said 3 days & 2 nights. (since last weekend we had quite a long days off - Friday till Monday!)
So he booked 2 rooms for us from Friday till Sunday (Yeay!). One room with king sized bed and another room with double beds. =)

Hmm.. Let me just give you a little information about this hotel.

General Introduction about the Hotel:
Palace of the Golden Horses is leveled as Asia's Most Extraordinary Hotel because of its ultimate magnificence and hospitality. Palace of the Golden Horses is a world-class award winning luxury hotel located within MINES Resort City and just 20 minutes away from the city centre and 35 minutes drive from KLIA.

Room Facilities:
This splendid hotel offers 401 exquisite guestrooms and 80 suites. The 183 guestrooms at Palace of the Golden Horses Hotel come with king sized beds and 218 rooms are with double bed.
In all, there are about 21 Executives Suites, 37 Minister Suites, 20 Head of State Suites, one Host Nation Suite and one Golden Suite in Palace of the Golden Horses.

Hotel Amenities:
All the rooms and suites are tastefully furnished with 3 two-line telephones with voice-mail and data port, full-sized working desk, cable TV, electronic in-room safe, fully-stocked mini-bar and other amenities including coffee and tea making facility, hair dryer, iron and ironing board.
This enchanting palatial hotel is best noted for its dedicated conference center known as the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Conference Center. The conference center consists of 21 meeting rooms equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, individual lighting control, video and teleconferencing facilities, including an auditorium and the Royal Ballroom with a maximum seating capacity of up to 2000 persons.

So on Friday, we checked in around 8 pm (we were quite late because I had to submit my assignment. isk). Anyway.. upon arriving, they gave us two luscious complimentary drinks! Luckily, Girl arrived on Saturday, otherwise we have to share our drinks! LOL =P

Just so you know, the whole place is like a palace. It is a five star hotel at its finest. With it's beautiful lobby, dining area, beautiful grounds, excellent services, fantastic architecture and sceneries and etc. You can find horses everywhere in this hotel! Very classic. And the rooms are spacious and opens up to a view of the pool and a lake. =)

Just arrived..

Oh! A king sized bed! =)

..and their spacious bathroom (didn't take a picture of the whole bathroom.Too excited to take photo. haha. But you know, it's the usual 5 star hotel's bathroom la.heh)

..getting ready to go to the Lobby Lounge (to get our free drinks! hehe)

Cam whoring la.. Ape lagi.. heh. =P

Ok..Ok. Enough of bergedik oredi la.. Haha =P

At the Grand Salon Lobby Lounge.

Our luscious drinks!

The Grand Salon Lobby Lounge has a majestically designed architecture which overlooking a scenic lake. It has a cozy atmosphere where you can enjoy light music and evening cocktails or maybe mocktails. hehe. There were also energetic live band performance available every night. But I don't really enjoy the music they served that night. Suara tak sedap pun. huhu ;p

This is a horse statue at the middle of the lounge area

By the time we got back to our room, it was already midnight. I was really tired (driving for hours and stucked in traffic jams, walk in high heels with my super overweight bags around me and etc). So I just wanna take my bath and just sleep. But I can't. I have another assignment that needs to be done cuz I need to submit it on Saturday. It was Commercial Law. Sigh.
God knows how much I hate reading the cases. Don't really understand them. haha. But anyway, I managed to get it done at around 3 am with the help of my Guara Red coffee! Really nice, I tell u! =)

After finishing my assignment, I dozed off peacefully..

***************

The next morning, after we had our breakfast (no picture. too sleepy and tired to take photos! hehe), we didn't do anything much. Just sit in the room while watching tv..and waiting for Girl to turn up..

Tada.. Dia sudah sampai.. =)

So after Girl arrived, we got ourselves ready. We planned to take the shuttle bus to Bintang Walk, but it was fully booked. Thus, I decided to drive to KL. (And stuck in traffic jams, again! haihh).

Anyways, we had our lunch at Manhattan Fish Market. I was craving for their Sweet Alabama smoothie and their seafood platter! It was meant for sharing. So I treat them. And boy.. it was yummyyy!!! =)

The appetizer: Buttered Mussel (Naz belanja! Thanks!)

Cheers!!

The scrumptious seafood platter for three!

Adik manes listening to kepochi..hehe

We spent quite some time at the MFM. We had our usual talk and the usual lawak bodoh and stuff. Oh btw, Girl took a video of me while I was telling them a story. Gosh. I looked really terrible when I am blabbering. haha. So weird and funny. And sooo mak kepoh.
Haih.. Never knew I am such a kepochi! haha =P

After we've done eating, we planned to go to the Taman Rama-Rama, or Zoo Negara or any other taman that is available in KL. But it was raining heavily. So we couldn't go anywhere outdoor. sob sob..

I refused to go to any malls cuz I don't want to end up buying things I don't need! (I want to save my money for other things now! Not the itsy bitsy stuff! I had more than enough already!)

But eventually, after planning and discussing where we want to head next, at last Girl made a decision to go to Mid Val to play bowling at Cosmic Bowl.

Oh gosh.. We're heading to a mall?

Fyi, shopping mall is my weakness. Every month I will try to avoid going to the mall as much as possible. Cuz when I stepped into a mall, my heart melts and weakens. And I can just forget about anything and everything. I just loved everything in a shopping mall! hehe =P

So, whenever I see something attractive that caught my eyes, I get really really excited. And the moment when I stepped into Mid Val's centre court, I saw M.A.C was having an event and their theme was Hello Kitty. There were so many cute outfits! I love their staffs outfits especially! The big bow that the M.A.C girls was wearing was really really cute. I feel like owning one la.. heh.

I was checking out people's outfits and what promotion they have and that's when a promoter came to me and said, "Would you like to have a free makeover?"

I was like.. For real??! M.A.C? hmm.. I don't really dig M.A.C's products, btw. They're too common for me. huhu =P
But, who would want to give you a free makeover right? So of course I accepted the offer. =)

She was explaining and promoting the new colors.

I already told myself not to buy ANYTHING at all, before she even applied any makeup on me or listen to what she's gonna promote, cuz I really really don't need ANY makeup right now. Plus, I don't like the colors of that Hello Kitty palette. But being me, who can't say no to people.. and cepat kesian kat org, after she promotes this and that, I felt guilty for not buying anything from her. So at last, I settled for lipstick and eyeshadow.

However, when I walked out of the M.A.C store, I got really upset with myself. Cuz I break my own rules. I don't want to buy that freakin' eyeshadow and lipstick. Dunno why the hell I purchased them. Heesh. Well, the colors fine. Just that, I already have something similar to that. Plus it's M.A.C! I never liked M.A.C products! Why the hell did I purchased it anyway? haih... Nevermind. I'll sell it later.

So after that, we played bowling at Cosmic Bowl. It was my first time there. The place looked like a night club. Techno music was blaring so loud and there were night club lights. Oh, and it's a glow-in-the-dark concept along the bowling alley and the whole area too.

After bowling, we had our not so late night coffee at Starbucks to have a lil' chat. It was Girl's treat! (cuz she won! hehe. Thanks Girlie.)

I'm tired-but-still-try-to-smile-for-the-camera face. heh

We had our dinner at mamak. After that, balik hotel.. But before that, took some pictures with the kuda2 dulu.. hehe ;)

At the lobby..

Weeeeeee! =)

Balang ni cantik la.. =)

Oh. Apakah ini? haha

Time to go back and have our own little spa in our room! hehe

Me in my La Senza's pinky robe. hehe =)

The next morning, which was Sunday.. Girl ajak swim.. But I saw people riding bikes too.. So I wanted to cycle as well! =)

Look at this beautiful area.. (for cycling/walking/jog/etc)

And their swimming pool. There were slides too! Cool.

The weather was okay. Not too hot. So we rent a bike for each of us. One hour = RM 10. Ok la.. But I only cycled up until half an hour. Cuz of the time constraint. (We need to get back to our room to pack stuff by 11 am)

This is the bicycle lane.. but I travelled until the golf course area. hehe..

The place was so calming. With the sound of air terjun, and surrounded by pokok2, etc.. It's good for releasing stress.. =)

Later, we swam in the swimming pool for about 40 minutes.. It was fun! It's been so long that I last went for swimming.. Nasib baik reti jugak lagi sikit2.. Kuak lentang pon boleh.. haha

After we've done swimming.. and lumba sape boleh selam lame2 (which is of course, me! hehe).. so then kitorang naik atas and kemas baju and stuff.. Time to check out.. sob sob =(

Me getting ready to check out..

..and Naz was adjusting her tudung from the next room..

Ok that's all!! =)

Overall, the 3 days and 2 nights stay was really wonderful. Especially when you have your bestfriends around you! =)

THANK YOU DADDIE.
